                    Chapter One

                    Kenzi's POV

        I put my bag inside my red convertible and climbed into the drivers seat. My mother and brother were still waving at me so I sent a small wave and pulled out of the drive way. I drove down to Addie's house to pick her up. Me, Addie, and my friend Emerald were going on a road trip this year. We've planned this forever.

      I saw Addie on her porch playing on her phone. She was wearing some short shorts and a tie-dye T-shirt. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a messy bun and she didn't have her glasses so she must have gotten contacts.

      When she saw me she shot up from her seat and waved. She grabbed her things and ran to my cat. I laughed at how eager she was. She giggled and jumped into the passenger seat.

      "Hey!! Omg, I can't wait!!" She screeched as I drove off. I laughed and nodded. I turned on the radio and 'Ride' by Somo came on. Addie started laughing and singing along. I sung along too because its a good song.

       I pulled up in Emeralds drive way and saw her standing there waiting. She smiled at me and waved before jogging to my car. When I saw what she was wearing I laughed.

       "Twins!!!" I say as she got into the backseat. She pulled up her dark hair into a pony tail.

       "Yeah, boo." She said and laughed.

        "What about me?" Addie playfully pouted. Emme smiled and pat her head playfully.

        "Don't worry, bae." She said. Emme is always one for joking around. She's really sweet too.

       "I want to be bae!!" I gasp and start to pull out of her driveway. Emme laughed along with Addie. I laughed too but then my phone started ringing.

      I looked and saw that it was Ethan, Addies boyfriend, calling me. I know it looks bad, but he's just my best friend that happens to call me before his girlfriend. Ethan and I are like brother and sister. He's the first person that pops into my head when I need someone to talk to, too.

       "Hello, snickers." I say. Snickers is his nickname because he's absolutely obsessed with them.

       "Hey, where are y'all?" He asked me. I laughed slightly and pulled into his driveway.

        "Come on outside, dumbass." I chuckle and hang up the phone.

        Ethan walks outside and runs a hand through his brown hair. He sees me and walks over putting his stuff in the back. He gives Addie a quick peck on the cheek before climbing in.

        "Hello, persons." He says and takes out his phone to check something. He sighs and put his phone back.

         "What's wrong babe?" Addie asks and leans back to see him.

         "Nothing babe." He smiles and kisses her on the lips. I playfully gagged and he glared at me while pulling away. I stuck out my tongue and he did the same. I chuckled and turned the radio on.

        "Omg!!!" The girls screeched all together, including me. Story Of My Life started playing on the radio. This song made me sad, but now even more sad. I mean, really Zayn? You just had to leave?

        I pushed all the thoughts away and sang along with the girls.

       "Oh my god!!" Ethan groaned and laid his head on the back of Addies seat.
