Third POV
The pendulum nodded extra strong, and before Phil could ask any more questions Isabella came back into the room.
"I forgot to tell you, but don't forget to turn in your project topics by tomorrow," she said. Everyone said yes and she left again, the parents coming in to pick them up.
"Mom! Can we go to the Crystal shop?" Sarah asked, pushing her pendulum back into her pocket.
"Sure thing! Is everyone coming?"
"Please mom!" Johnathan begged. Rose chuckled and nodded. Eitan looked over at Talia with hopeful eyes and she also nodded with a smile.
"Mama!" Phil shouted, running out of the room. He skidded to a stop when he saw her holding a familiar book.
It was similar, Phil knew that for a fact, but why? How? Was it back at Grace Field?
Isabella gently caressed the cover with a reminiscent smile. This book her twin's favorite and brought back a lot of good memories. She was surprised when she found it in Phil's bag when they had gotten here, but also glad that there was something to remember Tira by.
"Mama?" Isabella snapped out of her trance and turned around to see Phil. She put the book on top of a table.
"Yes Phil?"
"Can I go with everyone to the crystal shop?"
"Of course."
"Yay! Thanks mama! I can go too guys!"
All the older kids in there other room were starting next door with envy.
"I want to go out with them too..." Emma mumbled to herself as she solved the next chemistry problem.
"Mood," Derrick said with a sigh as he finished his math problem.
"Mood?"
"Same. I feel ya. That stuff. That reminds me, where are you guys from?" It was quiet with everyone looking at each other.
"Well," Ray spoke up, cracking his neck since he was finished with his work. "We need to hold a meeting about that."
Obviously, Derrick was confused. Why did they have to hold a meeting about where they came from?
"Emma, Don, Gilda, are you guys almost done?"
"Just a few more but why didn't you ask Norman?" Emma asked with a pout.
"It's obvious he's done. He's been walking around help you guys and looking up jobs the past 20 minutes."
"I just started history so it might take a while, but it's the last one I have to do before I'm finished with everything," Gilda said, typing in her answers.
"Same here but with English," Don said, scratching his head.
"Should we take a break?" Norman asked with a smile. Everyone, minus Ray, nodded quickly. "How about we go visit Nat?"
"Nat?"
"His playing always makes me relaxed," Ray said, getting up from his seat.
"Do you remember when we were in the shelter and he'd play during meals?" Gilda asked with a smile as she remembered those semi-peaceful times.
"And Yuugo and everyone else was surprised at his skills? I can't forget it even if I wanted to!" Don said with a laugh.
Derrick was even more confused.
"Yeah, whoever gave us the pen really saved us," Norman added on.
"Especially since they were able to convince Sister Krone to help us escape," Ray added.
"Exactly! You guys better be grateful! I did all the hard stuff with Phil, even though I went MIA for a while... but that's besides the point!" Tira added on, coming from out of nowhere. Derrick jumped, staring at Tira. He could vaguely make out a humanoid shape standing right next to where he was. Was he actually seeing this, or was he just tired from all that screen time?
"Anyways, let's go!"
