THESE ARE NOT CANON, DON'T COME FOR ME! This based off of The Cursed Child, Ik some don't agree that it's canon but others do, please no negative comments!
The Cedric I'm married to isn't the Cedric people knew during our Hogwarts days, he used to be sweet, caring, fair, loyal, he used to be the literal embodiment of everything that used to be Hufflepuff house. That Hogwarts is long gone and so is that Cedric. There are no more houses, no more different mascots, no more house cups or house colors. Hogwarts is now run solely by the Ministry, with the Augurey as the sole mascot of the school, and the school colors are no more. The traditional colorful school uniforms of either Red, Blue, Yellow, or Green have now been replaced with dark, solid black robes, the only color amongst the vast sea of black fabric being the Voldemort and Valor pins on the robs of the students attending the school.
Everything everyone had tried so hard for had been pointless, things might've been different had Cedric not been so humiliated during the Tri-Wizard Tournament, he'd been embarrassed beyond belief and he did, and still does, solely blame Harry for that humiliation. When Cedric joined Voldemort's forces after the tournament everything changed, he wasn't the same person everyone had known and loved, he wasn't Cedric anymore, but I tried my hardest to stay sympathetic because I loved him and knew that none of this had been easy.
May 2, 1998 changed everything, it's the day Harry died, the day Voldemort won, the day Cedric did something he couldn't come back from, the day I lost the love of my life and simultaneously realized that I was now forever married to a man I was afraid of. It was the day Cedric killed Neville Longbottom and secured the Dark Lord the victory at the Battle of Hogwarts, and nothing's been the same since that day. This day has since been turned into a Wizarding Holiday known as Voldemort Day, and it's celebrated every year by all those who don't wish to die or be tortured into madness.
While Snape has gone back to being a Professor, replaced as Headmaster by Dolores Umbridge, at least he still works for the school. Other high ranking Death Eaters are in other prominent positions, Draco Malfoy is the Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, Augustus Rockwood is the Head of the Department of Mysteries, Corban Yaxley is now the Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation (which is honestly more of a dictatorship at this point as they just scare the other ministers into agreeing with them), Vincent Crabbe was appointed as the Head of the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office (though the name's now been changed to the Mudblood Commision and deals with the torture and executions of Muggleborns, the Dark Lord doesn't care what people do with Muggle Artifacts). Bellatrix Lestrange has arguably the most sought after job by female death eaters, she's the mistress of the Dark Lord. And Cedric? Cedric was made the Minister for Magic for his part in the downfall of Harry Potter.
While I still love my husband more than words can describe, I don't like what or who he's become. He's now a power hungry egomaniac who'll stop at nothing to make the Dark Lord happy solely to give himself a higher standing within the ranks of the Death Eaters. Essentially, I love my husband but I don't like him. He knows this, the Dark Lord's taught him legilimency and he uses it often on me and others of his staff to keep us in line, unfortunately he uses it mostly on me as my desk sits right outside his office.
