Damage Control

Genny's pov____________

I stood inside listening in to their conversation. 

"Go on, kill her" Klaus said knowing he won't do it. 

"No Klaus, he'll do it" Katherine cried out as Elena. 

"If she dies you can't make anymore hybrids" Mikael said.

"I don't need them, I just need to be rid of you" Klaus said "I'm calling you bluff Father, kill her" he then said.

"Come outside and face me you little coward and then I won't have to" Mikael said.

"Kill her" Klaus yelled at him. 

Mikael laughed then he stabbed and I heard Katherine gasp in pain. I run out to see her on the floor. 

"NO" Klaus and I said. 

Klaus looks over at me and seems to think I need protection because he stands in front of me shielding me from Mikael.  

Just on command I take the dagger Damon gave to me and stab it through Klaus's back.

He turns around in pain and I see the look of pain in his eyes and can't help but feel sorry for him. 

Damon comes over and takes the dagger from me and pushes him onto the floor to  finishes Klaus off while I see Katherine standing up smirking. 

"Katherine?" Mikael asked shocked and she turned to Klaus's hybrids 

"Boom" She said and throws wolfsbane bombs at them and everyone falls to the ground dead.  Then she vamps speed to Klaus and kicks him in the balls and he groans in pain. 

"Ow what was that for?" He asked. 

"Genny" She said and I lighting smile. 

"Ugh.. Why would you care about her?" Klaus asked in pain. 

Katherine didn't respond only glare at him with anger. 

Damon was just about to plung the dagger into his heart but Stefan knocks Damon over. 

"What are you doing?" Damon asked him. 

I see Klaus pick up the dagger and speed run to Mikael and they both fall to the ground and Mikael yells out in pain. I see he daggered him and then his body lights up in fire. 

"What the hell did you do?" I asked Stefan as he still held Damon to the ground. 

Klaus walks over to the two "He's earned his freedom" He said.

Stefan looks so relieved "Thank you my friend. You no longer have to do as I say your free" Klaus looked into his eyes. 

'When did this happen?' I thought. 

Without either of them knowing Damon got up and grabbed me and Katherine and we vamp speed back to the Salvatore house. 

"What just happened? When did Klaus control Stefan?" I asked confused. 

"It was last year. Stefan pledged his loyalty but when that didn't work he compelled Stefan" Damon said.

"No one thought of tell me this?" I asked. 

"What happened?" Elena asked.

"Stefan interfered and Klaus is alive" Katherine said.

"How did this happen?" Elena asked. 

"We thought of everything Elena. Klaus having hybrids, Mikael turning on us, we brought in Katherine so you weren't in danger, Anything that could have gone wrong we were prepared!" Damon yelled. 

"I don't understand, Stefan wanted Klaus dead more than anything that is what we were counting on" Elena said.

 Damon looks so frustrated and angry "We blew it" He muttered. 

I look behind me to see Katherine is no longer here "Where did Katherine go?" I asked.

"She ran for the hills, it's what she does best Genny so don't expect her to come back the minute things got bad. Who could blame her? Klaus would have crushed her" Damon said coldly. 

"I had Klaus! I had him! This could have all been over!" Damon threw his drink into the fireplace. 

"Hey we will survive this" Elena grabbed his face then kisses him. 

"OMG" I said and they broke apart. 

"When the fuck did this happen?" I asked angry. 

"I love Damon, not Stefan after tonight" Elena said.

"You two time slut Elena Gilbert" I said and went to my room. I had enough Elena drama for the night. 

Katherine's pov_______________

I was driving with Stefan. 

"He doesn't know where it all went wrong" I said.

"He doesn't need to know" Stefan said.

"Did you see Genny's face? It was like she was a three year old witnessing murder.. So innocent. She looked really scared" I said feeling bad. 

"Genny will get over it" He said.

"How did you know I will stop Damon?" He asked. 

"I was hoping you would because it lead to our freedom" I said.

"You did all of that to save Damon's life?" Stefan asked. 

"It wasn't just his life. It was yours and Genny's too" I said.

"You don't care about anybody other than yourself" Stefan said coldly. 

"You and I both know that is not true. I loved you.. I love Genny.. I loved Damon too.. Humanity is a vampire's greatest weakness" I said.

"No matter how easy it is to turn it off, it keeps trying to fight it's way back in" I said as I focused on the road. 

"I can't let it all back in, I don't want to. Not after everything I have done while I was under Klaus's control" He said.

"Well, now you know how Genny felt when she was under his control" I said.

"Of course you don't want to but if you don't let yourself feel you won't be able to do what I need you to do next" I said and that earned his attention. 

"What's that?" He asked. 

"Get mad" I said.

"What did you do?" He asked. 

"I took Klaus's siblings. The coffin's he kept them in are all behind us. After I make a stop you taken them and run" I said.

"Good plan" He said.

After a whole day of driving I got out and left Stefan on his own.
