In the galaxy known as the Lacteus-W.A nearly 2.5 million light-years away on a plant known as Vexus, something marvelous has happened. Life had formed, the plant was filled with countless mountains and rough terrains but in the water, bacteria has evolved and the next arms race has taken place. Life, as it often does finds a way to adapt to new conditions and evolve to become more complex, more advanced, and more intelligent. But intelligence is something that is rarely evolved and even rarer when creatures use their intelligence to solve problems and develop into a society.

There are however many starts out there in the universe and it is not unreasonable that intelligent life has developed in some part of this vast universe.

The vex system consists of an earth-sized planet that orbits in the goldilocks zone. But unlike the majority of planets who develop no life even with this criteria and at most unicellular life this plant has passed both the stages and has developed multicellular life which by itself is a great achievement.

The planet consists of a low oxygen environment and is littered with many mountains with steep edges. The life forms have evolved to get accustomed to this life.  There are six-legged beings called the Ebori who communicate through vibrations through the ground, small predators who have accustomed to the lower depths and hunt the Ebori, and the Bautri, intelligent plant-like creatures who have evolved strong tendrils so they can climb the mountains and follow the sunlight.

These three creatures have the mind to develop into an advanced civilization but only one would rise, it was the Bautir in this case.  The Bautri was a plant-like species that had strong tendrils to both catch small prey and scale the mountains. The ability to get energy from the sun has let the Bautri value some territories more than others, and soon they developed a method to create tools. The tools that they could make inspired others and although they did not have the ability to see, they have very sensitive to light and touch and had developed a decentralized nervous system that can be compared to an octopus.

Thus with the invention of stone tools, the Bautri tribes were able to survive and settle down leading to further innovations.
