Tick tock. Tick tock. Sound of the clock continued. I turned left and right trying to get some sleep. I glanced at Lisa who was sleeping like dead.

I slowly got off the bed and went towards the window to get some air. It's so stuffy in here.

I felt a cool breeze hit my face as I opened the window. I looked at the shiny stars in the sky and thought about getting a walk around here. I can sleep all day in the hotel room tomorrow when Lisa goes for research.

I felt a wave of excitement at the thought of walking around in the cold dark night in a completely new place. I grabbed my witch coat I used for Halloween party last month to complement my excitement and off I went to explore the new village under the bright full moon.

"Witch," I heard some people say in a tone of disgust.

My stomach began to flip and flop not due to excitement but because I was terrified. I felt something wrong was going to happen. I began to run and soon I could see people chasing me. I felt two strong hands grip my arms as they laughed in excitement.

"We caught the witch," one of the man said in an extremely happy tone.

I wanted to tell them that I'm not a witch but fear took the best of me. I couldn't even speak.

"Witch needs to be killed," yelled some people.

"Burn her alive."

"Chop her head off."

I heard voices screaming . What am I going to do now? Am I going to die? I got more and more terrified with every word they spoke. Tears welled up in my eyes and I finally found some courage and said," I'm not a witch."

"Lie," hissed the man holding me.

"Who will admit the truth?," asked the man with moustache and laughed. The whole bunch of people began laughing and I felt numb.

"Let's tie her up," suggested a person from the back.

They pushed me to a tree and began to wind the rope around me I tried to wriggle but two strong arms held me firmly against the tree.

Tears rolled down my cheeks in utter defeat. I knew I was going to die now. I closed eyes and prayed my last prayers as more people gathered and suggested how I am supposed to be kill.

I felt a spark of hope when my eyes fell on Allaric,Lisa's boyfriend. I prayed he sees me hear and rescue me, that's my only chance of survival but that hope faded away when our eyes met and he looked the other way. I felt a pang of betrayal and wished I could tell Lisa what type of person he is before I die.

I was scared of dying before but now my fear was replaced by anger. How could he do that? He was like a brother to me...

My thoughts were interupted when my eyes fell on Lisa. There were tears in her eyes as she tried to break free from Allaric's grip. She was trying hard to reach me and rescue me. What had she done to get such asshole of a boyfriend? What had I done to him that he wanted me dead? God! I hate him.

"Tisha," she screamed which brought all her attention to her.

"She's trying to help," said a woman in green skirt.

"They are her friends," said a small guy.

People began shouting as they gripped my sister and Allaric. They tried to break free but those men were too strong. That's when the reality hit me. From the very beginning Allaric knew that I couldn't be saved so tried to save my sister. Now all of us will be dead. It's all my fault. Nothing would have happened if I hadn't sneaked out.

They tied Lisa to the tree on my right and started beating up Allaric.

"You should have known better than saving witch," said the man who had caught me at first and kicked him on his stomach.

"Traitor," roared another and kicked him on his back.

They began beating Allaric on and on and Lisa closed hee eyes unable to bear Allaric being beaten. Tears flowed down her closed eyes as if she accepted our unfortunate faith all created by me. I hated myself for being the reason behind all this. We are all going to die now. It's my fault only mine.

I heard a police siren and turned to sister. We both had a hopeful expression in our face. People tried to fight police but few gun shots were enough to shoo them away.

Two officers untied us and we both ran to Allaric who was still on the floor groaning in pain. There was blood all over and he looked so pale.

"It was not your fault," he assured me in his trembling voice before turning to Lisa.

"I love you Lee," he said taking his last breath.

"I love you too," she said before she broke down.

It's my fault, only my fault. I'm the reason Allaric lost his life. I'm the reason my Lisa lost Allaric. I should have died, not him. No. No. No. Not Allaric. Noooo.
