blood,lust, & betrayal

1~the start of it all~

[ December 17, 1834. Nebraska]

They were coming... 

He knew they were as the thunder growled through the dark night sky, storm clouds rolling in from the south. As he gazed out of his tall window his beloved came up behind him, enveloping him in her small precious arms. 

" Do not fear my love. You tried. You did your best to protect us." Her light grey eyes looked up at the tall muscular man before her. 

He turned around, protectively wrapping her in his strong arms. Craning his head down to her neck he inhaled her luscious scent of lavender mixed with berries. Nuzzling his slightly stubbled chin through her thick brown chocolate hair, loving the way she felt against him.

' Mate'

His inner self screamed out. His lightning blue eyes gazing at her loving.

The moment soon cutting off short by a loud bang from the outside of his mansion. He growled in frustration, stepping away from her as he walked quickly to the giant doors. The banging becoming louder as screams of hatred and yells came from the other side. His long strides got him quicker to the door. He stood a few feet away from it as hateful curses and more banging kept going, soon his wooden door starting to crack. His eyes glowed quickly turning completely black, his fangs elongating. He balled his hands into fist, his sharp claws forming as he growled lowly in anger.

Why wouldn't they leave him alone? He finally found his beloved and there already trying to tear them away from each other.  

She slowly walked up, cautiously taking his now clawed hand in her own small one and faced him. She ran a gentle finger down a long scar that ran down his right cheek. Smiling she got on her toes , grabbing his dark cloak to pull him closer and ever so gently kissed his lips. He pulled her close never wanting to let go as she slowly pulled away. She looked in his eyes a tear sleeping free from her eyes as she gazed up at her lover. He looked down at her, seeing in her pale grey eyes sadness and love.

" I'm so sorry my love, I shouldn't have brought you Into my world. You would be safe. I have failed you" He hung his head in shame, his long midnight black hair falling over his face. 

She smiled lifting his chin And touched his cheek lovingly. She kissed his cheek ,blocking out the banging from the big doors. " you have not failed me. You did everything In Your power to protect me. I love you."

He smiled down, but quickly snapped his head to the door as it burst open. He pushed his love behind him as the humans stormed in, carrying metal objects and wholly water.

He growled and hissed fiercely at them as they approached. The men quickly ran at him. One of the men threw the water at him. He shrunk back his face burning but quickly healing as the huddled around him. He growled ferociously picking men up and throwing them around the big room. The scream of his lover made him turn around. Two of the men had ahold of her as she struggled to get free. She looked up at her beloved tears springing to her eyes as the men tackle d him to the ground. The leader of the mob smirked grabbing a silver sword And walked up to the girl.

" touch her I will rip you all apart limb from limb!!" He growled out angrily as the men tried to hold him down.

The leader merely smirked at him, amused at the man At The ground as he presses the sword to the girls chest, right where her heart was. 

"KANE!' The girl shrieked out to her lover.  

"You have put evil into this young girls brain and heart. Now burn satan where you belong!" The leader shoved the sword into her chest.
