You feel a sense of content as you put the empty vile onto the counter. Your eyes and vision turn red as the blood flows down your throat and into your stomach. You place the empty vile, one that once contained rabbit blood, into a box labeled "Empty Viles".
Your small cabin, one that sits in the middle of nowhere, is known to many as a place to never go. It sits not far inside the Black Forest, a place said to hold creatures so dangerous and scary no one dares venture too far into the woods.
You are a vampire. As a vampire, you must keep a constant amount of blood in your body. This is done mostly by drinking animal blood, such as the rabbit blood in the viles you keep. When a vampire is deprived of blood for too long, they go crazy. They kill the first person they see, including family members and/or loved ones such as a partner.
You had to go out and get more blood. Your stores of rabbit and mouse blood were running low. And the worst part is: the population of rabbits and mice has gone down thanks to your constant need for blood. You decide you need to venture farther than you have ever gone into the woods to find more blood. You pack a bag with your machete, the last few blood viles, a piece of leather to tie around a tree to mark the farthest point where you could find more animal blood, and a flint and steel. As you start walking into the forest more, a scared feeling comes over you, as if someone is watching you.
The forest starts getting darker after you pass the last marked area with the leather pieces you tied around trees. You get more and more scared the darker and darker it gets. Then suddenly you start to see light. You carry on until you find something that makes you shocked beyond belief.
