Jiang Wanyin stayed with his husband in the afternoon.

Lan Xichen was writing letters to the Clans, announcing that he would celebrate his birthday a month later, merged with the celebration of his husband's birthday, because of health issues. He wrote a separate letter to his brother, and Jiang Yanli, explaining a little more, and inviting them for a stay at the Cloud Recesses, as Jiang Cheng's birthday was just 3 weeks away from Wei Wuxian's.

He missed his brother and wanted to spend time with him and his nephews; he also suspected his husband missed his home, and also his siblings.

He had offered Jiang Wanyin to write home too, so that he would dispatch all letters together, but he just shook his head sadly, saying that Zewu-Jun was all the home and family he needed right now. Having Wei Wuxian around for 3 weeks was more than enough for him anyway. And this time it was going to be even worse,  as being around children right now  was excruciating for him.

He was sitting at Zewu-Jun's feet, resting his head in his lap. It was warm and nice; Lan Xichen's clothes were always soft, his arms were always welcoming. Jiang Cheng was grateful to be so close, but he was still upset after their conversation  –  it was a strange feeling, having so many opposite emotions clashing in your chest.

He was looking at the calendar Lan Huan had prepared  –  it was ready and was now pinned to the wall in his study. It was his  calendar; it was his life that was on that wall. Sandu Shengshou bit his lip   –  he knew that now his husband was organizing all his tasks and appointments bearing those circled dates in mind.

The Clan disciples were happy to see their Masters at the training, and greeted them excitedly, but all afternoon the only excitement for Sandu Shengshou were the times in which Lan Xichen would give instructions and advice to the youngsters   –  his voice calmed him down, inexplicably so.

He sighed. He was quite impatient for the month to pass.

- Are you alright, my lovely?  –  Lan Huan leaned in and kissed his forehead.  –  You look so deep in thought, Wanyin. I miss you.   –  he smiled gently.

- I am a little tired, Zewu-Jun. This is all.  –  he sighed again.

- I asked you not to lie to me, kitten.  –  Lan Xichen looked at him seriously, raising an eyebrow.
