Chapter 1: Bonnie's Secret

Emery Adams was born to an abusive Mom and an alcoholic dad. Her father left her when she was just a little girl to live with her mom because he was an alcoholic because he couldn't handle the abuse that he would have to endure from emery's mom. Emery's mom hated her daughter because her husband left her, and she feels it's the daughter's fault and doesn't help that Emery is a spitting image of her father so only brings her mom more anger. So her angry mother used Emery as a punching bag. When Emery was a child, she would call 911, however, those calls had fallen on deaf ears. As a result, she began to feel that children are worthless, and no one listens. So she started to hate herself internally as a result she has a huge disdain for children in general. One day when emery was 17 years old, she called CPS and they finally heard her cries, after all the bruises, scars, and burn marks on her body from her mother's abuse. CPS arrives at her house and has a chat with the mother in which she throws a fit telling them that they can't take her child. But it's standard procedure when a child under the age of 18 has marks, and bruises on her. As she grew up, she triggered her magical powers of Shadow magic her ability is to essentially fall into the shadows, fall invisible in dark ghost form, which has a weakness/side effect of every time she uses this magical power, she slowly becomes psychotic, she has been using this power since she was a kid to escape the abuse of her mom some days. So she has grown to have psychotic tendencies. Emery makes her money by being a kleptomaniac, she loves to steal from people it gives her a thrill since she was a kid and has never been caught.

Edward Caine was born into a wealthy family. He was raised by his butler and maid; his parents were never home. His dad worked as a Scientist and his mom was a shaman healer, she uses potions to heal people. The butler would put him down all the time and say he was worthless and would never amount to anything. As he began to rebel and feel anger as a kid. That is when he triggered his magical abilities, of being able to bend fire and create fire out of nothing. His weakness is a doozy, he is more susceptible to fire. He would act them out by starting fires, and one day he lit the wrong thing on fire. Cops were called and he was on probation, but his parents didn't want a delinquent child. So they told him that he had to go, no child of theirs will behave that way. As he got older the children of the town would throw stones at him like he is an outcast. So he has an extreme scornfulness for children, even his own. All his life he would rise to get into the career of a Politician he doesn't want their votes though he could care less. He wants everyone to know who he is and hate him. He yells and bickers at those that come his way.
