CHAPTER 13: THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY

Y/N opened a door and looked around. "All clear." He said, he then helped the others out. "We're in the shrieking shack, aren't we?" Hermione said. "Let's go." Harry said.

A trail was leading upstairs to an old bedroom that looked like it hasn't been used in decades. "Ron, are you okay?" Ginny asked. "Harry, I found the dog, but there's a surprise here." The others turned to see a bone skinny man with long hair, a beard, and a prison outfit on.

"Sirius Black." Y/N said. He summoned Harry's sword to his hand and was ready for a fight. Ginny got in front of her soul bound partner. "If you want to kill Harry, you'll have to kill us too." She said. "And you'll have to start with me." Y/N said.

"No, only one will die tonight." Black said. "Then it'll be you." Harry said. He then wrestled Black to the floor and then pulled out his wand. Black began to laugh. "I was expecting this from Y/N, Harry." He told him.

Just then the door bursted open and Lupin came in. "Expelliarmus." Harry's wand was knocked out of his hand and Lupin motioned him to move.

Harry did so and Ginny grabbed him by the arm. "Well, well, Sirius, looking rather ragged, finally the first reflects the madness within." Lupin said, looking at Black. "Well you would know all about the madness within, wouldn't you, Remus?" Black said.

After a moment, Lupin lowered his wand and helped Black to his feet. The two hugged and talked about a particular male and killing him, but Hermione interrupted this. "No, I trusted you, and all this time, you've been his friend. He's a werewolf, that's why he's been missing classes." She said. "Hermione, I already knew that."

Lupin looked at the two of them. "How long have you known that?" He asked. "Since Professor Snape sent the essay." Hermione said. "I got suspicious since your lesson with the bogart. I was always fascinated by werewolves and dragons." Y/N said. "Impressive on your parts. You two are truly the brightest sorcerers of your ages that I have ever met."

"Enough talk Remus, come on. Let's kill him." Black said. "Wait for a bit." Remus said. "I did my waiting, twelve years of it, in Azkaban." Black said.

Lupin looked at the group and gave his wand to Black. "Very well, kill him, but they need to understand the story, Ron has kept him as a pet for years. I only know the beginning, and you owe the twins the truth."

Black gave it some thought. "Very well, tell them whatever you want. I'll pick up from where you leave off, but then, he dies." He said.

"We already know why, you betrayed our parents. You're the reason they're dead." Harry said. "I don't know about that, Harry. Something doesn't add up to me about that claim." Y/N said.

"No, Harry, it wasn't Sirius. Someone did betray your parents, but it was someone who, until recently, I believed to be dead." Lupin said. "Who was it then?" "Peter Pettigrew, and he's in this room right now. Come out, come out, Peter. Come out, come out and play."

"Expelliarmus." A voice rang in the room. Snape had arrived with his wand in his hand. "Ah, Vengeance is sweet, I hoped I'd be the one who catches you." Snape said. "Now Severus please." Lupin said, attempting to talk him down.

Snape then pointed his wand at him. "I told Dumbledore you were welcoming an old friend into the castle and now here's the proof." Snape said with a certain bit of satisfaction in his voice. "Brilliant Snape, as usual you put your mind to the task and, as usual, comes to the wrong conclusion. Now if you will excuse us, Remus and I have some unfinished business to attend to." Sirius said.

Snape then put his wand to Black's neck. "Give me a reason, I beg you." Snape said. Severus, don't be a fool." Remus said. "He can't help it, it's his nature by now." Black said. "Sirius, be quiet." "Be quiet yourself, Remus." "Still going on like an old married couple?" Snape said. "Why don't you run along and play with your chemistry set." Black said.
