(Nathan got a ride from Dallas back to the commonwealth out of the glowing sea. He used the radio on his pip boy to listen into the courser signature and traced it to a building called greentech genetics. When he went inside, he found a bunch of dead gunners. All killed by the courser named Z2-47)
Z2: Tell me the password
Gunner: I don't know the password! I'm telling the truth!
Z2: I don't believe you are
Gunner: No, please, you don't have to do this!
(Z2-47 ignores the gunner and executes him with an institute laser pistol)
Z2: All he had to do was tell me the password. Are you willing to cooperate?
Gunner: I'll help you find a way in, but listen, we took the girl fair and square. All we want is a little compensation in return.
Z2: You are in no position to negotiate
Gunner: Ok ok, just don't shoot! Let me think...
(The gunner writes down a password on a piece of paper while Nathan sneaks around behind the scene. He finds a toolbox and inside is a holotape. The greentech genetics password)
Z2: The password was incorrect
(Z-47 executes another gunner with his institute laser pistol)
Z2: I'm going to get in there. It's only a matter of time
(Nathan steps out of the shadows with the greentech genetics password in his hand)
Z2: You. Are you here for the synth?
Nathan: No
Z2: If you're not here for the synth, then you're here for me. What do you want?
Nathan: This is the password. Here
(Nathan gives Z2-47 the password. He looks like he's suspicious, but it actually opens the door)
Z2: Thank you! Now if you'll just give me a moment. K1-98. Your little adventure is over. It's time to go home. K1-98 recall code-
(Nathan takes aim with his laser rifle and blows a gaping hole in Z2-47's head)
Z2: Systems... malfunction...
(Z2-47 faceplants on the ground)
Jenny: Thank you! I... I don't know what to say
Nathan: You don't need to say anything. You're welcome
Jenny: Thanks again for your help. I'm going to look for supplies before heading out. Maybe we'll meet again, under better circumstances. I... hope we do
(Nathan takes out his knife and cuts open the back of Z2-47's head and neck. He finds the chip embedded in the back of his neck)
Nathan: Now I just need to get this thing decoded...
(Nathan goes to the only synth expert he knows in goodneighbor in hopes of decoding the courser chip)
Amari: You're back! The glowing sea! Virgil! What happened?
Nathan: There was a crazy amount of radiation, I met Virgil, who was a super mutant, then I killed a courser and took this chip out of it's head
Amari: A courser chip? You fought a courser?! Oh my god. Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you. I've worked on a lot of synths before, but never a courser. I don't even know what that chip does, let alone how to decode it
