The phone rang so I went to answer it. "hello" I said. "is this the guardian of Raphael Hamato?" the person on the other side asked. "yes this is and who are you" I asked. "I am Ben Grace, the commissioner of the USA Army. Raphael's father was shot and killed yesterday during war." Ben said. "thank you for the news" I said not knowing how Raphael was going to take it. "tell him the funeral is next Saturday at noon. I am very sorry" he said and hung up. I just stood there not knowing how to tell Raphael. I walked to the kitchen. "is everything alright sensei" Leonardo asked. "yes, my son,Raphael will please come with me." I asked. He got up and followed me to the dojo. "is everything alright" he asked as we sat down on the rug. "Raphael, my son I am very sorry but, that call was from commissioner Ben." I said not wanting to go on. "Is dad alright?" he asked. "I am afraid not" I said and he looked at me full of worry. "My son, he was shot and killed yesterday. I am very sorry" I said. I could see he was crying. "He promised he would never leave me." He said crying even
harder. He stood up and ran to his room. I walked into the kitchen to three confused sons. "What's wrong with Raph" Michelangelo asked. "He just lost his father" I said and went back to the dojo.
