Him And I

Chapter #1

Lay's POV:
So it was my first day of high school. People think high school is the start of life and people are right. My brother, Jake, took me to school since I'm bad with direction. We dropped off my sister,Jane,first. I went to Lake Field academy. Jake goes to I-prep which is not far from my school but it is quite a distance but I barely see him at home. My mom and dad are business workers. I barely see them too. But on this day I regretted not spending as much time with them. When I got there, I met up with my best friend, Kai. He was my best friend since 1st grade. During lunch I got called to the principle office. Kai and I wondered why but I really hope that we didn't. Kai said he thinks it just that they want to see u cuz ur new here. It was my brother. He wanted to talk to me. When I got there I saw him and my principle. I just thought maybe jake wanted to check up on me. Sadly that wasn't it.
"Hey ! Jake " I said with excitement
"Hey Lay " he said with sorrow
"What's wrong?" I asked
" you have to calm yourself before I tell you this ok??." He said
"Ok jake "I said with curiosity
" Mom and dad .............died during their drive to work due to a car accident..... " Jake said with stuttering words
When those words came out of his mouth , I was shocked and heartbroken..
How . Why . I said to myself . I thought it was just a dream but the pain in my heart says no it's not ... I fainted when jake told me the news. When I woke up the first thing I knew , I was in the school nurse. Jake wasn't there which made it hard. I was their laying on the bed thinking about how much I regretted and wanted it to just be a dream. But that was not possible I guess. I saw the school nurse come in. He was approaching me.
"Are u feeling better , my dear ? " he asked
" yes ,sir " I answered softy
"My name is Mr. Jay " he said
" I'm Lay " I answered softly as I can
"So I heard the news about your parents" he said trying to say it gently as he could
" it is ok if I lay down for awhile?" I asked
" no problem , just make yourself at home" he said smiling with his dimples
So I lied down for the whole day. I wonder where jake was. Probably with the principal . Jake picked me up at the nurse at the end of the day. He told me to not tell Jane about mom and dad. He said to tell her they just went on a business trip.

Jake's POV:
After lay fainted I waited for her by the bed but the principal called me to talk about her problems. They said they think lay wouldn't be able to go on with school like this. They think she should be in a new environment to keep her mood happy. I asked what kind of environment n they insisted a place with different things and new things to keep her from
thinking too much. They said it wouldn't be a problem if she missed school for a month since it's the beginning of school. So I said I'll send her to aunties for a month in Korea and he agreed. Her transportation fees I can handle. So I got dismissed and went to the nurse where lay was at. Lay n me barely talked or hung out. I was always busy. So as I went I saw her laying on the bed. I told her to just tell Jane mom and dad went on a business trip. After that I took her home and cooked some dinner for Jane and her. Lay was in her room. I guess she cried. I would too but I couldn't show the side of me that was weak.

Jane POV:
After I got home ,things were so quiet and depressed. I thought something was wrong but jake told me it was nth. Lay was crying bcuz mom and dad are on a business trip so I understood. I was like so close to crying but then Jake comforted me. He is the best brother I can have. I know that he will always be there for me.

Lay POV:
I called Kai and told about what happened. Kai was like my other dad that I would consult with. He just knows what to say at the right time. So I told him n he said that I should just calm down and try meditating. I did as he told me and it help but for only a moment. So after the call with Kai , I went downstairs.
"Ur awake sis?" My brother asked
"Yea just feeling little tired.." I said quietly cuz Jane was in the kitchen
"Ok then after dinner , I have something I wanted to consult with u . Ok ??.." He whispered
"Ok Jake .." I said
After we had dinner , Jane went to her room. Then Jake started to give me the come-here-I - need - to -talk - u look . So I sat on the couch and he said he had to tell me something.
So I listened . He said that I needed to ...................
