Abuja, Nigeria.

"Good morning, Jewel." He entered the room with a smile, carrying a tray with her breakfast on it.

"Good morning, Ya Jalal." She beamed at him.

"Is that my favorite?" She leapt up from the bed but quickly realized how futile her attempt was, settling back with a pout.

Jalal sighed, rubbing the back of his neck—an action he did whenever he felt he'd messed up. "I'm sorry. I'm the reason for..." he whispered, putting on an innocent face.

"We move." She winked.

"That's why I love you even more, wifey." He winked back before settling beside her on the king-sized bed.

"Oh, I can't even remember the last time I was fed in bed... oh, right, it was during my stay at the hospital." Her comment made Jalal chuckle.

"From now on, it's princess treatment for my princess."

"Aww," she cooed, relaxing into his chest.

"Now feed me." She pouted.

"Are you really going to eat lying down, Jewel? It's haram and not good for your health."

"I'm too lazy to chew right now." She pouted again, causing a scowl to appear on Jalal's face.

"Wow... so what do you want us to do now, Jewel?"

"You eat for the both of us." Her suggestion made Jalal laugh out loud.

"Are you for real, Jewel? I would if it were possible... but you have to eat, Jewel. I don't want my baby girl starving."

"It is possible."

"Now, let me show you." She winked, sitting up and bringing a bite of crepe to his mouth.

She fed him about five bites before he stopped her. "So? I'm the only one eating, Jewel?"

"Yes, because that's what I wanted. I snuck into the kitchen earlier and saw how many attempts you made and how you burned your hands before you finally got this right, just to impress me. I wanted you to taste your own hard work first, Ya Jalal, before serving me. You deserve it." She finished, causing Jalal to chuckle and embrace her.

"I'm proud of you, Jewel. Keep being you."

"Thanks, Ya Jalal."

"By the way, you look and act way smarter than your age." The proud smile didn't waver from his face.

"Aww, thanks, Ya Jalal. Now feed me—I'm starving... after all, you made sure everything I ate at that eatery yesterday left my body last night." She mumbled the last part to herself.

Jalal chuckled. "I heard you, Madam."

"No way!" She squealed, burying her face in the pillow, earning a hearty laugh from him.

"Ahn ahn, what's the secret to my sister's glowing face?" Janaan winked, her face appearing on the screen of Jalilah's iPad.
