Bryce's POV.

As I entered the cafe the next morning, my eyes searched for Mary. She texted me this morning and told me to meet her here.

My eyes finally found her and I stood admiring her beautiful figure for a few seconds before snapping out of it and walking towards her.

I felt myself get extremely nervous, not only because she makes me nervous in general, but because she had people sitting with her as well. And not just any people, a group of girls.

I didn't want them to judge me or make Mary not want to be my friend anymore.

As I approached the table, all eyes were on me and I felt like I was gonna throw up. Mary smiled and stood up, hugging me. It made my nerves ease up a little.

"Hey, Bryce." she spoke, kissing my cheek. And I'm sure for the thousandth time in two days, I blushed like crazy.

"H-hey Mary." I rubbed the back of my head in embarrassment.

"I want you to meet my friends." she said grabbing my hand and pulling me with her. I felt I jolt of electricity shoot through me at the contact

"This is Kendra." She pointed to a Brown skin girl with curly brown hair and brown eyes. "Susie." She pointed to a girl who looked to be biracial with green eyes. "And Briana." she pointed to a white girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Mary's friends were really pretty, but nowhere near as gorgeous as her.

"Guys, this is Bryce." She said to them, motioning towards me. They all smiled at me and waved. I smiled at the fact that they were actually being nice to me and not turning up their noses.

"H-hi" I spoke, shyly, looking down.

"Aw, he's shy!" Susie spoke, not making things better.

Mary giggled and pulled me to sit down beside her. "He's such a cutie!" Kendra exclaimed and I looked down, playing with my fingers. "Thank you." I replied.

I sat in the cafe with Mary and her friends talking and laughing. It felt good having people get to know me instead of judging me and making fun of me. I really liked Mary's friends.

We were laughing at someone Kendra said when suddenly, Zack and a few of his jock friends and mean cheerleaders approached us. I felt all my confidence leave, being replaced with fear and nerves.

"Hey, Mary." He smiled and licked his lips but as soon as his eyes landed on me, it faded as quickly as it came.

"What is this loser doing here?" He sneered. I lowered my head and ignored him, feeling embarrassed that I couldn't even stand up for myself.

"Leave him alone, Zack. He's my friend, that's why he's here." Mary spoke in an annoyed tone.

Zack scoffed and sat down on the other side of Mary.

"You really shouldn't hang around this nerd. It's not a good look." Rebecca, the captain of the cheerleading team said. She glared at me and Mary.

"Rebecca, I don't care about what 'looks good', Justin is my friend and there's nothing you or anyone else can say that'll change that." Mary began getting up and gathering her things.

"Come on, Bryce." she pulled me with her.

"See you guys later" she spoke to Kendra, Susie, and Briana.

They waved and we walked out of the cafe.

"I'm sorry about that." Mary apologized.

"It's okay, I'm use to it." I stated putting my hands in my pockets.

She sighed and shook her head. "You shouldn't be use to that though. It's not cool the way they treat you." She looked at me and locked our as together as we continued walking.

I didn't reply simply because I didn't know what to say.

Suddenly, Mary gasped and stopped walking turning toward me, smiling wide.

"W-what?" I replied nervously.

"You should let me give you a makeover over spring break!" She clapped her hands.

"Um, I don't know." I said unsure. I mean would that even make a difference? Mary has a lot to work with.

"Pleaseeee." Mary tilted her head to the side, looking up at me, smiling and running her index finger up and down my chest.

My cheeks heated up at her actions. "Uh, um, y-yeah, o-okay."

Mary giggled and jumped a little. "Then it's settled. I'm gonna give you the bestest makeover ever!" She exclaimed and we continued walking to our first class, English II.

I hope this makeover goes well.
