I HAVE A DREAM

I dream of a new epoch

The past I refuse to evoke

Sad memories to recall

Nothing enjoyable at all

Injustice, oppression and tyranny

Long dark years of agony

Political opponents under arrest

Tortured, beaten not to rest

I carry in me a great desire

Airs of freedom like to respire

Long for real democracy

An advocate of meritocracy

I yearn for a new constitution

Starting from scratch each institution

I dream of enjoying my rights

Stopping all kinds of fights

I dream of a true prosperity

Banishing the ghost of poverty

I dream of a life without oppression

Speaking freely without repression

I dream of political stability

Enjoying justice and equality

For this dream I have flair

It won’t turn into a nightmare.
