The woman didn't take Vanessa leaving that well. She actually skipped the next entire week of lessons and wouldn't speak to her friends. At first she did lie saying she was sick, she would text tem and speak to them a little but as the week passed, and with no energy at all not even to move out of bed, she gave up on the lie. She wasn't fine. Not at all.
Roxy spend most of her day crying or simply in her room. She sometimes would read or write in her journal, listen to some music or even watch a few shows or movies, everything to try to take Vanessa off her mind. However the pain was always present and most of the time she would simply be cuddling with her plushie, resting her head on the pillow which one belong to the ghost and still had her smell.
The worst part was the little note Vanessa had left her. Roxy did find it a day later and it just broke her more, knowing she loved the woman and the woman loved her back and somehow they couldn't be together. Vanessa was Roxy's first love, she felt so good around the older, despite the fact they only had four days to hang out. She was completely destroyed and broken. It would make her cry every time her thoughts would go to that.
Obviously, even if Roxy wasn't aware of it, Vanessa would see everything through the mirrors. It was also hurting the woman deeply not being able to comfort her lover and seeing her suffer like that. It would make her cry despite not being alive. She was having a hard time too and she hated the fact she couldn't help the younger. At some point she even left for a few days, wandering around the mirror dimension so she wouldn't watch her lover for countless hours.
Even if she wasn't watching, Roxy continued to suffer. She did return to school but wasn't really the same. Both Alissa and Hope knew what had happened, they knew their friend was suffering and wanted to help her, tried to help her multiple times. The witch of the group was very worried about their little angel, she was blaming Vanessa deeply for that, stating multiple times to the vampire how much she wished she would have killed the ghost. Alissa, on the other hand, would try to make her calm down and make Hope focus on helping Roxy the best way they could.
From all the five, Megan and Destiny were the ones clueless about what was going on. Neither knew about what Vanessa truly was, or Alissa or Hope. Neither knew Roxy had fallen deeply for the ghost and how the two had spent three days together. They did ask a few questions to the younger woman about the green-eyed woman, since Vanessa and Roxy had kissed in public, but Roxy would always change the subject or make an excuse to get out of the conversation and their presence. Still, none would leave that particular subject alone. They didn't really like Vanessa from the little time the woman hung out with them and, especially Destiny, would sometimes ask about the raven one or complain a little about her.
For a long time Roxy would go to school and pretend everything was fine, a fake happy smile all day, a few hang outs with their friends and her grades were still high. Though once she would come home, a single step in her apartment and she would break into tears, sobbing in pure emotional pain. Although the happy and innocent woman who would be there to help her friends slowly distanced herself from them. First it would be with some lame excuse about school, but after she simply didn't even bother to respond. As the time passed, she simply would ignore their texts and phone calls, not open the door to anyone and even at school she would ignore them on the hallways and during the breaks. By the end of the year, everything had changed for Roxy.
Her life was monotonous, with no light. It was simply going to school, pay a little attention, going home and being alone, cuddling with the pillow or her plushies or her cat. Her friends still made efforts to talk to her and help her, but nothing really went anywhere. Roxy wasn't smiling, at all, her head would be down, she would use a lot of makeup to hide the fact she had been crying or not sleeping, and she would ignore the world.
