A/N: Hello!!! I hope everyone is doing great. So, first of all I wanted to apologize for taking so long with this chapter but I was very busy with school, community service, work, family, among other things. 

This chapter was requested by @Lyra-Zang, they asked for a Non-binary ReaderXSucheon Kang. similarly to last chapter if you don't like this type of stuff you can go on and skip. They specifically asked for nothing sad, given Suncheon's personality and background I really felt tempted and could only picture him in sad scenarios, however, I was able to come up with something. 

So, I picture Sucheon as someone competitive so, for this chapter Sucheon and Reader are in Baekdu and they have a spar. Essentially their relationship will build up from that.

No one's POV

In Baekdu, you will always find at least one sparring room in use. Sometimes they will all be busy and you'll just have to wait your turn. Of course when your Sucheon Kang there was no such thing. For him there was always a sparring room open. 

Y/N knew this very well, that's why they choose challenging Sucheon to a spar as their favorite hobby. Sucheon being Sucheon couldn't refuse a spar with Y/N given that they were the second best young awakener in Baekdu. 

"Hey Sucheon! You up for a spar or do you fear I'll actually beat you this time?" They had that same cocky expression as always that Sucheon both loved and hated. 

"You wish." He scuffed. "I won't let you beat me. Ever." He started walking away. Y/N quickly followed him into a random sparring room.  As soon as the people inside saw Sucheon they quickly recomposed themselves and left the room. 

Neither of them wasted any time and started attacking the other. After multiple attacks directed to one another Sucheon came out victorious. "See, I told you. I won't ever let you beat me." His face was cold as always but his tone was playful and warm. He came close to Y/N and stretched out an arm for them to grab. They took it and stood up quickly while smiling at him. He's right. They won't be able to beat him because the power gap between them will just continue to grow as they grow older and stronger.

"I consider every second I spend with you as an automatic victory." Sucheon made a weird face between frustration and disgust, turning his head to hide the barely visible blush on his face.

"Ugh! I hate it when you say cheesy stuff like that." Sucheon quickly made his way out of the sparring room to the cafeteria with Y/N following from close behind. They sat at a random table and waited for the rest of their friends to come and join them. But after a while of waiting Y/N asked "do you wanna go for a walk instead?" Instead of answering, Sucheon just got up and headed for the exit. Once they were both outside they just started walking with no specific direction.

Y/N's POV:

It's always nice to hang out with Sucheon like this. We started out as rivals and were always competing against each other, trying to out-do one another. During the academy we were basically forced to interact with one another so we had get used to not fighting at any given moment. I guess we got used to it because we're not trying to one-up each other anymore. Eventually we became friends and spar for fun instead of trying to show superiority. 

We walked past a toy store that was having a squishmallow sale, he stopped and took a long look at one of the squishmallows and then entered the store to purchase it. Once he came back outside he handed it to me.

"It reminded me of you." 

"A sloth, you saw a sloth and immediately thought 'yep, that looks like Y/N'. At least it's cute. Thanks!"

We continued walking until we reached the Baekdu headquarters. I was heading back to the sparing rooms to find someone else to spar with as I was nearing the sparing rooms with Sucheon following close behind we herd Sucheon's dad approaching. Apparently neither of us wanted to deal with him since we ran away from there as soon as possible. 

Once we were a decent distance away from his father Sucheon opened his mouth to say something but quickly closed it again.

Sucheon's POV

It's been a while since I stopped hating Y/N, and instead another emotions grew stronger. And I've been meaning to tell them, or ask them out, or something. But I just can't bring myself to do so. 

It took years of rivalry, months of tolerating each other, and weeks of actually being considered friends. It's makes no sense that I have fallen for them so quickly when just a while back I would attacked them for being in my presence. Yet I still fell for them. 

I opened my mouth to tell them something, anything, but nothing came out so I just closed it. 

I tried again with a bit more success.

"Hey, I've been meaning to ask you something."

"Alright, shoot."

I reconsidered all the possible thing I could say and just let the first one come out of my mouth before I could regret it.

"Will you go out with me?" I could feel my face start to burn as it was, probably, turning red. 

"What?" Their face looked flustered even though they tried to hide it. 

"Will you go out with me?" I repeated with more confidence and amusement as I saw their face get red and more flustered than before. 

"I... As friends?... Or, uhm, something... else?"

"As more than friends."

"Yes! I mean, yes. I would love to go out with you!" They recomposed themselves and started to look more joyful.

"Alright. Uhm, tomorrow at six?" I was really exited they said yes and I didn't even worry if I was hiding my emotions or not.

"Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow at six! Don't be late!" They ran back down the hall while waving goodbye.

"I won't!" I waved back with the biggest smile in face. 

And then I was filled with dread at the realization that I have no idea where to go with them, or what to do in a date.

A/N: I know, very cheap ending. In my defense... I have no excuse, I'm just really bad at endings.
