STELLA'S POV:

I felt weird again, like how I had all these years. Like i was someone else before, i had a different life and everyone were hiding things from me. I've always lived my life the best, that's what my mom used to say all the time. But sometimes things didn't add up, I felt like there were gaps in my life, like a void. I usually just shrugged off the feeling, I mean what could a void possibly mean when my life has been so perfect right? I woke up and made myself coffee like how I did every day back in LA.

I moved here recently to build a new life and get away from everything as far away as possible. I reached last night and trust me when I tell you there's nothing better than the feeling of freedom.

"Hey help me with the bags man" My best friend Belle called from the front.

I knew her for a very long time, I don't exactly remember from when but I do know we were very close. She moved here with me. It's actually funny, we had this elaborate plan of shifting to a new place when we were young, but honestly, I didn't think we'd go through with it.

I was pretty tired from all the travelling, so I thought I'd just rest for today and probably drag Bella to buy me a sundae in the evening. But first of all, I needed to buy books. I finished all of them on the plane, well yeah I'm a fast reader and now I didn't have any books around me.

It was cold outside, but that didn't stop me from buying books anyway. I googled the nearest bookstore and walked in looking at my phone for any text messages when I bumped into this sweet lady who asked me what I wanted to buy and showed me around.

"Oh. My. God" i exclaimed seeing the one book i tried to find everywhere but couldn't.

"Is this your first time here?" The lady asked

"Yes ma'am. I just moved here"

"Well, I can show you around more if you'd like. There are sections you know based on the kind of book it is" She offered politely.

"No ma'am it's okay, I'll find my way around here" i smiled.

Wow. I was loving New York already.

I had my lunch in a nearby restaurant reading the book I just bought, 'Wanted' it was called. It was a classing thriller from what it said in the summary.

'Mysterious deaths, weird sounds, unknown shadows dawned upon Hilton town during the start of winter. No one saw who it was nor was there any evidence. Just the words of civilians who said they saw, but who would believe them? After all,  they were just civilians but what if the princess herself died? Would everyone finally get serious? They say it's the legend of Jonathan Fredrick, who was killed in the royal grounds of the Azos Empire for falling in love with the empire's witch. After being silent for about 20 years, why now? Is he finally getting revenge or was this all a joke to scare the townspeople?  Was this the final time when Emperor Azos would rule? Where were the dead people being taken to? Read to find out.'

It was just the kind of book I'd crave for. It wasn't long before Belle called me and told me to come to the ice cream shop at the corner of the street. I walked over there listening to songs and seeing the vehicles move past.

"Hey, what took you so long?" She said when I got there.

I lifted my book up to answer her.

"Of course" she nodded her head disapprovingly.

We bought sundae and ice cream and walked around the neighborhood.

"Hey, you wanna go to that bar later?" Bella asked me pointing to a bar called 'Red Mug'.

"Omg yes. It looks so good!"
