Saying her name was like stopping time. She looked at me with those enchanting eyes of hers. She studied me as if this were the first time we met.

Last time I saw her it was high school. Back then her mocha-colored hair was short, it had reached to the nape of her neck. Now it was waves of chocolate brown that flowed down her back.

The dress she wore gave the feeling of summertime as it was the color green with daisies sprinkling all over the fabric. It fitted her hourglass body perfectly—I practically forgot she had a body of an angel. Trailing my eyes back to her face I noticed something tremendously odd about it.

It took me awhile but when I finally saw how easy it was for her to smile, I knew the answer. She was happy—truly. Something I never witnessed back then.

That one thought brought me back to reality. I blink once to destroy all the stupid thoughts that swarmed in my head like bees. Quickly straightening my shoulders I casually look away.

Armin takes notice and I catch a glimpse of his for shame look. I give him a look of my own as if saying, keep that up and we'll head outside. He only snickers in answer before heading towards Suri.

"Guys, you remember, Suri?" He asks everyone with a smile. As a friendly gesture he wraps an arm around her shoulders gaining a small laugh from her. It caused Annie to scoff though. I couldn't help but do the same. "Suri Lineham? She graduated the same class as us?"

Only Mikasa, Annie, and I knew. The three blockheads, on the other hand, stare at Suri as if she had some foreign text written across her face.

"Aah, can you give us another hint?" Connie asks while scratching his head. "I feel like I know her but can't put my finger on it."

Suri shakes her head, her smiling widening in amusement. Shrugging off Armin's arm she gracefully makes her way towards Connie. He stays planted on his seat, staring at Suri like an idiot when she stops before him.

"Maybe this will remind you."

Without warning she flicks his forehead. Connie releases a shrill of surprise as he presses a hand on the now red mark.

"OW!" He exclaims with a frown. "What the hell was that—!" He gasps loudly. Eyes wide and jaw dropping he completely forgets about his forehead and stares at Suri with such surprise. "Suri! It's really you!"

Laughing loudly she wraps her arms Egg-head as he does the same. When Jean and Sasha finally came to, they quickly tackle themselves into the hug as well. There was incoherent shrills of excitement and laughter coming from the four. The rest of us could only watch silently.

"It's just Suri," I hear Annie grumble bitterly. "They're acting like they found their lost puppy."

I nod along, trying my hardest to forget about my previous thoughts. "Tell me about it," I agree with a huff. "It's nothing big."

"HA! Don't try it, Yeager." Annie snickers with a smirk. I give her a baffled look, my brows scrunching together.

"What are you talking about?" I demand. "I'm not trying anything!"

"Please!" She turns to me and sticks out her hip. "Don't act like you're not surprised she's here."

I laugh airily while shaking my head. I'm surprised? It's this lot who's surprised. I don't give two shits if she was here or not.

Seeing the way she smiled, the way she seemed elegant and free—it made me taste sour vile on my tongue. I roll my eyes at Annie, she's acting like she got me all figured out.
