"Hey, Tine!"
My head feels heavy yet lighter at the same time, as I bobbed it slightly to the beat of the loud music, having my own dance in my seat, a shot glass in my hand waving in the air, wide smile on my lips, until I met my friends gleaming eyes, also having fun.
"Aren't you going to answer your phone?"
Vani asked, pointing her pink mouth on my phone on the table.
She was sitting across mine, together with our other friends who were also dancing in their seats in a VIP lounge room we've been occupying.
We've just got back from another dance competition, thankful we're able to qualified to move on the finals despite my difficulty in attending our dance practice thanks to a certain person resulting for me not having enough time for the entire rehearsal. But still, I managed to catch up on our usual routine.
Besides, the teamwork and support was undeniably strong so it's not that hard anymore for us. Also, throughout the years we've been together, we were all familiar already with each body movements.
I'm not really bragging here that I was blessed with a very talented and strongest team. I was just being glad and proud I was part of them so here we are! Celebrating again our victory for the nth times in a very fancy bar, with a beautiful signage outside, in flaming red, called Sapphire.
'I want to have that gem, too!'
I giggled for my silliness and shakes my head, indicating her my response to her question before I even forget.
"But, it's ringing since... morning?"
She said, a bit unsure, voice loud enough for me to hear even in her quite slurry words.
Another giggle slipped my mouth.
"Nope! You're wrong, it's--"
"--been ringing nonstop on its 3rd day now!"
They broke into laughter when Luke who was sitting right beside me answered for me so quickly.
How they wouldn't know?
It's because within those days my phone keep on buzzing and ringing nonstop inside my bag or my pocket almost every fucking hour?
So annoying! But I didn't put it on silent mode so I will be able to easily get it and attend my other tasks even while I'm rehearsing with my group.
I laughed along with them while shaking my head, then brought my hand down, putting my lips on the tiny glass, sipping the clear liquor slowly before gulping it straight down my throat making my face grimaced at the burn but smile at the earthy sweet taste then licked the salt on the back of my palm that Phi Madee playfully dashed on me. A sliced of lemon was then kindly put carefully between my lips by Luke, giving him my usual sweet smile, noticing his flushed cheeks darkening even more, before flinching as loud clank was heard making me giggle once more after I clumsily sat down the shot glass a bit hard on top of the round glass table. Another shot of tequila already in my hand.
"Oh, sweetheart! I think you hit your limit already for tonight. I guess that's enough? Hand me that quick!"
Madee suddenly spoke in my left, nudging me before grabbing the glass in my grasped, my mouth forming a small pout.
"Ow, come on! Stop being cute pretty boy? I told you I didn't sneaked you out from your overly strict boss just to get you drunk."
I try to open my mouth but she cuts me off in an instant and keeps on nagging me in her firm yet very soft voice. I am glad she wasn't that really stern despite her strong personality like her cousin instead, she was more of like my loving brother who would just let me do what I like and enjoy it. But of course, just like my phi, she would also keeps reminding me that I'm still a baby.
