"God, I hate Hamlet," said Bellamy as he sat down in one of the library's uncomfortable plastic chairs.

"Really?" Clarke shrugged. "It's one of my favorites of Shakespeare."

"Sure, it's much better than Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth by a long shot, but I prefer his comedies."

"Well tough luck, because this project is on Prince Hamlet."

Bellamy shook his head, grinning faintly. "This play just hits so close to home."

"What do you mean?" Clarke wasn't really listening. She bit the end of her pencil and tried to come up with a theme that they could focus on.

"Dad's dead and my mom remarried. Hamlet doesnt have a sister though, so I guess I'll be saved the horrible death."

He said it so casually, like none of that bothered him. Clarke watched Bellamy as he highlighted a paragraph. She wished she could be that strong too. But she wasn't.
