"What is stronger than the human heart, which shatters over and over and still lives?"

_ _ _ _________ _ _ _

Eleanor wasn't someone who'd hold grudges against anyone for very long or even to begin with.

However, she could help but taste a certain bitterness in her mouth and get that weird feeling of disgust whenever seeing one particular person. And that was none other than Alfred Fisher.

She didn't know where that hate came from towards this particular person, yet she couldn't help but glare at said man for no reason.

"If you two lovebirds are done smooching, I would ask Eleanor to visit me at my office. It's urgent."

His voice was enough to make her want to vomit into the nearest trash can.

"I'll be there in a minute."

Obviously amused, Alfred gave her one last disgusting wink before closing the door, the sound of his footsteps turning faint with every second.

Eleanor felt Dream's arms tighten around her waist as he shuddered. Gently, she ran her hand through his locks before peering at his mask again, imagining what his face looked like beneath the mask.

"I'll be back in a minute, okay?"

Her heart warmed at the timid nod he gave her before before she helped him up, laying him down before covering him beneath the blanket.

Her steps were slow as she dragged herself through the empty corridors, an eerie silence making her skin crawl and the though of meeting Alfred all alone making her feel uneasy.

Something about him just didn't seem right.

Where is his office to begin with?

Realization made her halt before she sighed, looking around in case someone was around who could help her.

Just when she was about to take another random turn, a sudden and strong grip on her shoulder made her flinch before quickly turning around with wide eyes. Alfred flashed her one of those disgusting smiles, making her feel nauseous as she tried to gently push off his hand.

His grip tightened before he eventually put his whole arm around her shoulder dragging her through the corridrs.

"I'm sure that you're confused."

He started a one-sided conversation.

"Who is this guy?"

"Why does he know me?"

"What is actually happening?"

He perfectly voiced her thoughts before they took another turn. Eleanor felt extremely uncomfortable the moment she realized how dangerously low his hand had slipped from her shoulders to her lower-waist.

"Let me tell you, we were destinied to meet. I was chosed to help your little beautiful mind and reveal you past and future - which are both linked to me."

He winked at her flirtatiously, suggesting that they were meant to come together.

Alfred halted infront of a door before opening it, revealing a fancy office. Pushing her inside, he locked the door before offering her a seat at the other side of the table.
