I woke up to Aunt Mae pounding on the door, after the night I had run into Hye, I just want a break. I feel like everything was cascading down on me. I just want to be able to breathe for once. I sigh to myself, sitting up and stretching, "One minute!" I call Mae.

"Get up we have to go to the lawyer's office in 20 minutes!" She sounds frustrated.I raise an eyebrow, we weren't supposed to go to the lawyer's office until 10 which means I must have overslept. I missed taking the boys to school, which Aunt Mae isn't going to be happy about, "I'm getting ready now." I threw my blonde hair into a messy bun, the dark roots are longer than I've ever let them get. I'd have to get them done again soon. I slipped into a pair of skinny jeans and threw on a tank top, pulling my cardigan on over it. As soon as I finish getting dressed, I head into the bathroom, rushing to finish. I quickly start to brush my teeth before
doing my mascara.
"Ana!" Aunt Mae calls from downstairs, "We've got to go. Kiya is waiting!"
I hurried to finish my mascara, "Coming!" I shout as I run downstairs. Aunt Mae was wearing an all-white pantsuit, she looks like she means business.
"I wish you would've worn something nicer," She rolls her eyes, "Too late. We've got to go." Aunt Mae heads to the door, waving for me to follow her.
"Sorry," I mutter following her out to the car. Kiya was waiting in the car and Aunt Mae slid into the passenger seat and I sat behind her.
"Hi," Mae leans over and kisses Kiya's cheek, "Thank you for driving us."
"Of course." Kiya nods, the car pulling away from the house.
"Is it a long drive?" I ask, yawning and leaning my head against the window. My question was ignored as Kiya and Mae started talking about something else. My phone starts to buzz in my lap, text message after text message. I try to ignore it but it becomes too much. I flip my phone over angrily looking at the message. It's Jimin. I saw the name pop up and scoffed, of course, it was him. He's been nothing but annoying since the night in the dance studio, he's been trying to apologize but I think it's probably better this way. I roll my eyes at the phone, stuffing it into my pocket again. I don't need a man and Jimin doesn't seem to believe me when I saw that. It wasn't long before Kiya parks and we all get out, headed into the lawyer's office.

"Hello," The woman behind the desk greets, "I assume you are the Kim family?"

"Yes, we are." Aunt Mae answers.
"Take a seat," The woman pauses, "It'll be just a moment."
"Thank you," I speak up this time, all of us sitting in the chairs by her desk. I don't know why this appointment with the lawyer was so nerve-wracking but I couldn't stop my leg from bouncing. My phone buzzing in my pocket again. This time I pull it out, shutting it off. I just want to be able to focus on this meeting and get what we need to do. I look to Aunt Mae who is holding Kiya's hand and looks like she is on the verge of tears, "Will this be long?"
"I don't know." Aunt Mae answers, a little tear slipping down her face. I pause thinking about how insensitive my question came off as. I may not want to be here but for Mae to be in such pain was so upsetting. I reach over and grab her free hand comfortingly.

The woman returns from the office, "If you guys want to head into his office, Mr. Iwai will see you now." The woman says.

"Thank you," I repeat, standing up, practically pulling Aunt Mae and Kiya with me.
We go to the room, it was a quaint office with all white walls and black furniture. Behind the desk sat Mr. Iwai, "Hello Kim family." he stands to introduce himself.

"Hello." I spoke, Aunt Mae was still quiet, "I'm Ana, this is my Aunt Mae and her friend Kiya."

"Nice to meet you all," He said, "Take a seat. I wish we were meeting under better circumstances."
"I agree," I nod taking a seat, "Aunt Mae are you alright?" I look over to see her crying a little more.

"This is just emotional," She sighs, "I'm sorry this is just something I never thought I would have to do. I never thought I would be planning Jin-Young's funeral and helping raise his kids."
