Elvenheim

As I block a strike the thrill of battle fills me, and I see red. I start striking with superhuman strength, as I duck under a sword, I stab them in the gut. Elves are peaceful people however when our homeland is invaded by cruel soldiers, we are fierce warriors. My sharp ears sense an arrow fired close by, I slow down time and see it heading towards Karya, I throw the body of the soldier I just killed into the path of the arrow and smile as it hits the ground with a thud. "Nice job you're improving." Karya teases me. "As if you were better." I say throwing someone off Sara. I hear a shout and get momentarily distracted, ouch I got cut, this must be one of the elite soldiers, 'too bad' I think as I stab him through the ribs. I hear a shout near me, no its Karya, I run over to him and kill the person who stabbed him. As I look at his wound despair and anger fills me, I let out a scream and a blast of green energy shoots of me and kills all the soldiers on the field. I don't notice or care though, all I care about is Karya. As tears stream down my face and onto his I finally tell him how I feel. "I love you; I have since we were kids, and you can't leave me." I sob "I love you too I always have and I'm sorry I have to leave now. One of the only things that can tear apart love is death it's self and our time has come, I'm sorry, don't cry for me please. I'll see you in the next life my love." He tells me as he breathes out, I hold my breath waiting for his next one, it doesn't come, at those words I let out a scream of pure pain, the one of kind pain of having your heart shattered, the kind no one ever fully recovers from. "You can't leave me, we have a whole life together." I say sobbing. I place my hands on his wound to try to stop the bleeding, anything to help save him, I can't lose him. I don't notice the green mist coming from my hands as I lie my head on his chest. It's so strange I can almost feel his heart beating. A reminder of his short, bright, happy life. "I'm not dead silly, I think you're a healer." He says sitting upI watch in amazement as the green that seeps from my hands heals his wound. "No way I couldn't be a healer, the last healer died 10 years ago." I say in awe. Sara walks up behind me, "Not only a healer but a magician, you knocked out all of the soldiers." She tells me. I look around in awe at all the soldiers lying on the ground with wisps of green around their heads.
