Miranda goes for a morning run. Listening to tunes. As she's running she spots a familiar face. Quickly ejecting her headphones from her ears. "Xavier, right?" She stops him. With the up most confused look on his face he responded. "Umm I usually don't forget. Help me remember." Miranda crossed her arms with a look of disgust. "I'm Tony's friend Miranda. We met last night. I don't expect you to remember. Your face was on the ground." She said thinking of how he insulted her last night. "Oh the chick who doesn't comb her hair" he replied. "I like my hair like this. Its natural." She quickly poked back. As she thought why did I stop him. What a jerk. She put her headphones in while starting her run back. Xavier stood there watching for a minute then continued his run. Miranda found herself at a local coffee shop after her run. She orders a hot Tea and had a seat outside. Her mind begins to wonder. She thinks of Franklin which leads her to think about Ms. Hatchmen. At the end of last winter, traditional winter coat sales became just as profitable as the fur ones. By the beginning of the summer plans to do variety of coats was in the works to open up the fall collection. Ms. Hatchmen asked a few of her top employees to a happy hour after work. Miranda was excited. She had been promoted by this time but was still in her box style desk. A few drinks went back that night. Ms. Hatchmen drove everyone home. Miranda being last. They discussed how relationships never work in their busy lives. One hand caress lead to another. They found themselves in the back of the limo in Miranda's driveway. From there they began their lunch time rituals. They agreed on it being stickly Platonic. It worked. Miranda wasn't into dating women. While Ms. Hatchmen was work driven and focused on being successful. Everything she did was properly planned and organized. Miranda gets up from the table and takes a walk home. When she gets there she has 3 missed voicemail. First one is from Tony. "Miranda baby, I'm so sorry about last night. My friends can embarass a brother for sure. I want to see you today. Return my call. I can't stop thinking about you." Message two "Miranda honey, you should really call your mother. You only get one. I miss you. Will it hurt you to drive 15 mins down..." message skipped "Hey its Stacey its about Ms. Hatchmen call me asap". No more messages. Miranda dials Stacey. Stacey answers in a panic. "Omg she was in a car accident. She has no family here. I don't know the state of her condition can you come to the Hospital with me." Miranda quickly agrees.Thinking of Franklin she hoped he was okay. They arrived at Ms.Hatchmen's bed side. She had been knock unconscious but was now in stable condition. Miranda turns to the nurse taking vitals. "How is the driver doing" she asked the young nurse."He's across the hall broke damn near every bone in his body. Suffered alot of blood lost. In a coma. Preparing his family for the worst." The nurse replied nonchalantly. Miranda gasp as she turned to run to his room. Only no one was there. The nurse was now leaving Ms. Hatchmen's room. Grabing her arm Miranda said "where did he go."Yanking her arm back "probably to surgery. With all that blood lost he may have internal bleeding. There is his family maybe u can talk to them." Miranda looks over to see a white family sobing. Slightly confused since Franklin was black she slowly walks over.
