"It was unlimited power. A power that shouldn't exist yet."
-Dr. Rob Oppenheimer Gustav of the First Science Division
In the beginning, the world was unified and peaceful. With the invention of basic electricity in year -25 of the official Royal Calender and the invention of steam power sometime before, science and technology went full speed ahead. Ships powered by steam with lights. Lighter-than-air craft (also powered by steam) drifted in the heavens thanks to the discovery of Helidroxen by a young fellow in his shorts with a shovel. Nobody could remember the last great war. The rest is in parchment for further reading. Unfortunately, this peace would not last long. Like many others, I was caught in the crossfire. Unlike "many others", I was given a choice that nobody was given. My talents led to many a downfall, all against my will. I could've just stopped. Gone home, watch her being lowered into the ground the next evening, suffocating on cream puffs days after (or by some "unintended" accident) to join her. Hope and love made me agree. I was too weak then to know what I was getting myself into. Given his past, I shoud've known I was making a deal with the devil when I agreed to the terms of the Governor. Strange what a person will do under special circumstances against even his own morals.
The following is a true account of everything. I am erased from history; that smudge where there should've been my name, those suspicously missing pages in the textbooks, nothing remains except what I will soon tell you.
Dedicated to those that fought for cowards. To those knights that couldn't face the challenge ahead. To those of which society refuses to understand. To those that envy, those that cry without tears, those that need help but nobody comes. To those that collect balloons. To those that give too much, and are abused for their kindness even though they did nothing wrong. To those that SHOULD be still with us today. To those that I couldn't mention. Most importantly this is true dedication.
Dedicated, to those like me.
