Plop!
I catched the sudden thrown knife prop at me that almost made my heart leap out of my chest. I looked up to find a familiar face grinning at me.
"Boo!!" My brother screamed at my face while I glared at him as he laughed, putting his fake fangs on display.
"Quit with these childish antics, Sean!" I exclaimed as I opened the door wider; gesturing him to come in.
He rolled his eyes as he ruffled up my already messed hair. I made sure to lock the door not before taking a glimpse at the house next door. The same house that is always filled with drunkard people making out with each other.
I entered the living room to find my brother talking- Nah erase that- flirting with my best-friend and only friend: Ashley, that came in to stay for the night as she always does at this time of the year.
Just as I was about to sat back on the couch and relax a bit, I heard the door bell making my little plans of comfort; shatter.
With a displeasing face, I opened the front door to face nothing but emptiness.
There was no one there.
Not a single soul.
I step-out a little as I glanced on either side of my shoulders to see no evidence of someone that has recently ran or hid.
With a sigh I turned around to head back in but something large, hard and wet rolled over to the back of my ankle.
I snapped my head back around, Just to come across someone's raw head chopped off from someone's body as I looked at it in pure horror. I slightly kicked the head to tilt as to see the person's face and the next thing I heard was a loud scream lacing with terror.
Only to realise that the owner of that harsh scream was my own self as I looked at my brother's chopped off head with his eyes popping out of his sockets and blood gushing out of his neck and wounds.
I staggered back a little as an unknown sensation triggered at my heart.
Dead! He was DEAD!!
Noo! This has to be a freaking joke.
My breathing raged as I struggled to stay steady on my feets. I felt someone's presence behind me and pushing the chopped off head aside by my foot, I jerked up.
There was he.
My brother's killer.
He wore a black hood over his head that made it difficult for me to see his face. I peered over his right hand and gasped as his grip tightened over the antique axe he was holding, that has blood dripping down off its blade. His smirk was evident by the upward twitches that were visible through his hood.
Am I suddenly a part of the 90s horror film?
His deep chuckle snapped me out of my thoughts. Before I could react, He ran at me in an inhuman speed. Somehow I managed to dodge his aim at me and with all I might; I ran towards the street ahead. Suddenly, the street lights that were still up, fluctuated and within a blink: it was utter darkness.
The best way to get away with a murderer is to meddle within a large crowd.
Luckily I had the perfect idea.
And just with that thought, I ran towards the large house that had the crazy costume party going on. I rushed inside the enemy's cave in my pajamas whereas every person was dressed in unique and.. not very-appealing costumes and I suddenly felt like the black sheep among the drunk and good for nothing people.
