I didn't make eye contact with twan but I slowly reached for the door. How dumb can I be to go into a strangers car? I guess I thought this would be like in the movies.
"Wait Aspen"
"Twan what's in your trunk" I said in tears.
"I can explain"
without a doubt I ran out the car and sat on the non paved road. Now that I think of it, it was a pretty dumb move.
Twan came out of the Volkswagen and opened the trunk. A dark haired girl stuck her head out. Her face was covered in bruises."Hi" she said. As she opened her mouth you can see most of her teeth were missing, blood dripped down along with her saliva.
I couldn't move. Twan stared at me as if I was suppose to be okay. The worst part was the girl looked relief. I didn't leave, I couldn't. I couldn't leave her alone with Twan I couldn't let him get away.
"She's my sister, her names oil, named after something valuable. My parents thought if they named her that she'd be precious, and she is but not in their eyes" he spoke.
"Why is she bleeding" I asked as my voice began to crack.
"My parents. I hid her in my trunk last night so we could run away together. I saw you along the way and I thought why not I don't know where I'm going anyways."
"Oil Maris." I repeated.
"Uh yup that's me" Oil said raising her hand. She climbed out of the trunk exposing her body. She looked like art. Her legs were different, one was prosthetic and the other was normal. She was not perfect art, but then again art isn't perfect.
