I was alone, in a dark room, for a long, long time. One stray beam of light hit a clock, and I watched it tick for what felt like hours. I noticed that even though the clock kept ticking, time wasn't moving forward. In fact, it almost felt as if it were in reverse. I was starting to get a little anxious, but I was still pretty controlled. The room around me was almost completely dark, and I couldn't make out much. Slowly more light trickled in and I realized that I was in a classroom. The teacher was completely in shadow and I couldn't make out anything about them, but I could still tell their eyes were beating down on me. I should've been nervous, like any other cookie on Earthbread, but I wasn't. I heard the sound of a bell ring, but I stayed put. It was one weird bell, it almost sounded like a beep. Then it hit me.

Or was it more like I hit it? THUNK!  I woke up from my bunk bed and hit my head on the ceiling. As I was rubbing my eyes, I realized the "bell" was my alarm. "That was all a dream, huh," I thought, glad to be out of it. I hit it so hard trying to turn it off that it fell all the way down to the floor and broke. Whoops.
Oh yeah, I guess I should introduce myself. I'm GingerBrave, a 14-year-old cookie who loves listening to Parfait Cookie's music, shopping at Mont Blanc's for clothing, and hanging out with my friends. Back to my best worst day ever, I attempted to fall asleep again. Well, that was until I came upon a realization. "Hey, something feels off," I thought. I almost never have my alarm on, so today must be some sort of special occasion. I looked over at the calendar I had poorly stapled to my wall, and came to yet another realization. "OH NO, TODAY IS MY FIRST DAY OF HIGH SCHOOL!" I yelled out loud. I almost fell out of bed trying to get down. I quickly grabbed a suit jacket I bought at Mont Blanc's, and dashed to the bathroom. I brushed my hair and messed it up purposefully to get my iconic fluffy hair that I've had since middle school. I grabbed an energy bar, ran outside, and realized I didn't have my backpack. I walked inside, realizing I didn't need to rush to go get it. I grabbed it, slung it over my shoulder, and took a breath. In the middle of the previously mentioned breath, I heard the bus turning the corner. I took off and got out right in time for them to see me and stop. So, you see, my parents haven't been told me anything about the school I was going to, so I had no idea of what I was getting into. I glanced at the side of the bus and saw a name engraved into it.

It read: "Ovendough High School."

I couldn't believe it. I've heard horror stories about this place. Out of all the schools they could've chosen, they thought I was right for Ovendough. I sighed heavily, and took my first step onto the bus. My life as I knew it was about to change forever.
