I was waiting by my window for my cab to my first day at New Beginnings Rehab Center. I'm unlike every other pregnant druggies you see. I'm willing to kick my habits instead of putting my child's life at risk. I was going to be a mother within 8 months....I can't keep living this way.
My cab pulled up and I grabbed my suitcase from beside the door then walked down the stairs and out of the door to my cab. The cab driver opened the door for me and put my suitcase in the trunk. I put in my earbuds. My favorite song I'm Not a Vampire by Falling in Reverse come on.
As we arrived at the center, I looked at it. It looked like a little price of heaven from what I could see. I saw a pool and even a small hot tub. I walked inside and was greeted by a lady whose name tag read Mila. "Hi, you must be Quinlynn. Right this way." She showed me to a room with a huge California king sized bed, a 60" flat screen tv, and a balcony. It was the greatest room I'd ever seen. "Go ahead and get settled in, Dr. Grey will be with you in a moment." Mila said as she exited my room. I started to unpack and put my clothes and shoes away. I put my make up and soaps in the bathroom, then laid on my bed.
There was a knock at the door. I opened it to find a tall dark haird man who seems to be around 38. "Hello, I'm Dr. Grey. I'll be helping you while you're here. Shall we go out to the balcony?" He said in a calm voice.
As we get sat down he began to speak. " I notice you're pregnant. Would you like me to find you a midwife?" He pulled out his iPad and began typing. I sat there for a moment and then said Yes. "I'll call around as soon as I get back to the office." He said. I was starting to like this place. We sat outside for a few hours while he asked me what I was hooked on and then gave me a list of daily activities to do. As he left I thanked him. I checked my clock on the wall. 10:30 p.m. Time for bed. I laid down and got comfortable. I was starting to like this place.
