READER'S POV

Adrian had our envelope. He carefully used his manicured nail to open the envelope, gently removed the parchment from the envelope and pocketed the envelope, then scanned the paper. His movements were nothing if not precise. I snorted. Such a Slytherin way to do things. I walked over to him and stood next to him.

"In the castle am I, more low than high, in disrepair with leaks and cracks galore, no one ever passes my door." Adrian read the first riddle, then scrunched up his nose in confusion.

"Well, at least we know that it's a disused room that no one ever goes into. No one would have went into it for a good while, if it had leaks and cracks galore." I pointed out.

His brow was now furrowed. "Well where would no one go for such a long time for the room to fall into a stage of disrepair that bad?"

"Well, we can tick off classrooms as the teachers would refuse to let the classrooms to get that bad, even the old ones." I said, and he nodded.

"Well, the leaks thing – it wouldn't be a classroom, but what if they're talking about taps? Like a bathroom?" He asked.

I smirked, "I know just the bathroom, follow me."

I spun on my heel and ran up to the castle, and through the doors. I ran up the stairs, and waited for them to change to the right corridor.

"Where are we going?" Adrian asked.

"Moaning Myrtle's bathroom." I said with a grin as the stairs stopped and I got prepared to run, but Adrian grabbed the back of my robes.

"There's other classes in session, we should walk whilst we're in the castle." He explained, making my cheeks go warm but nod.

I couldn't believe that I had just made myself look stupid in front of a Slytherin!

I guided him to Myrtle's bathroom, and opened the door, and walked in, holding the door open for Adrian.

He blanched, "That's the girls' loo!"

"And no one ever uses it, it's rather hard to go to the loo when Myrtle's wailing, come on." I grabbed his robe sleeve and dragged him in.

"There!" He pointed, to the far end of the room, and there was two packets of seeds.

I ran over and grabbed them. Myrtle was sitting in the stall, sniffling, looking absolutely pitiful. I stood and stared at her for a bit. Adrian came over and looked at her too.

"Are you okay?" Adrian asked reluctantly, as if he didn't want to speak at all.

Myrtle flew up and flipped around, coming to land in front of the pair of us.

"What are you doing here? You're a boy!" She wailed, then I panicked and showed her the plant seed packets to stop her from wailing too much.

"We came to get these! We're doing scavenger hunt, honest!" I said hurriedly.

She stopped and looked.

"I never get to do scavenger hunts." She whimpered pitifully. "I've never done one."

She wailed again flying back past the taps, turning them all on and diving into her toilet, making the floor flood.
