*Hiccups P.O.V*
The room was loud and obnoxious with cheering drunks and karaoke singing which was like rusty nails to my ears. I was in the back, admiring the room. I wasn't much for partying, but Jack certainly didn't waste any time to show off his stuff. After just one beer and a shot of whiskey he was already plastered. But me, I couldn't bring myself to drink. It will make my mind fuzzy and who knows what I can accidentally say.
I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck before laying my head down on the table. What was I even doing? Jack proposed to me and gave me a ring, yet I haven't made him one. I am basically in Kahoots with Pitch the dark and evil douchebag who technically killed me and now I have another thing on my mind about her. I mean seriously! Does the world hate me right now?
"Not having fun?" Asked Alex. I lift my head, seeing her sitting there with her hands folded in front of her.
"What?" I asked. "Oh, yeah I'm having fun, just tired is all." I said.
She chuckled. "I can tell, even tho you heal fast, your lip is still pretty swollen and so is the purple and yellow bruises on your face." She said, pointing at the spots.
I rolled my eyes. "No kidding, look at Jack. His cut is almost healed as well." I say.
"Ya don't say," she sat back, placing her hands in her lap. "I was having fun, but fairies can't get drunk so I can't get as plastered as everyone else." She says.
"Woah, wait a minute," I say, holding up a finger. "Fairies can't get drunk?"
"Duh," she says with a small chuckle. "I don't suppose you can't," she asked.
I nodded. "I can, I just don't want to get shit faced like my fiancé, who decides to dance on bars for others entertainment." I said, pointing at Jack who was dancing and smiling.
"Ah, he is one lively guy isn't he?" She asked.
I smiled, glancing back at Jack. "No kidding," I muttered.
"What?" She asked.
"Nothing," I stood up from the booth and slowly walked out of it. Alex glanced up at me, watching me closely. "I'm gonna go back to my room, if Jack is looking for me, just tell him." I say.
She nodded. "Sure can do, get some good rest, you deserve it." She said.
I smiled before making my way through the drunken crowd and out the door into the silent hallway. I leaned against the door, hearing the happy chime of Jack's laughter fill my ears. That's when I saw the small nightmare appear beside me. That means Pitch needs me, great. With that I listened one last time, before making my way down the hall.
"I didn't mean that you leave the palace," I heard from behind me.
I glanced back seeing him stand tall on one of the pillars. Pitch looked up with a smug smile.
"Woah! What are you doing?!" I asked, panicking.
"Well, I came to congratulate you," he says, walking towards me. "Seems you got pretty beat."
I rolled my shoulder to scratch my neck, tilting my head. "Eh, it was nothing really, but where were you?" I asked.
He shrugged. "Not there, Mandrake wants me at the final showdown. I obviously won't be there but he thinks I will."
"Are you acting like a double agent, Pitch?" I ask.
"I guess you could say that," he said. "But then again, I am only trying to win back your trust."
I sighed. He wasn't ever going to gain back my trust. I thought he was dead just a few weeks ago, and now he just shows up out of the blue. So yeah not happening.
"So you want an update?"
My head shot over to him. "What?" I asked.
"Do you want an update on what she's doing?" He asked.
I sighed. "Sure," I say.
He chuckled. "Well, she finally woke up from the coma, and she is now wondering about him. But her powers are stronger than I imagined." He said. "But I have a question, how did she manage to talk to bunny?"
I sighed. "I have no clue, but if Emma is awake and looking for Jack, I don't think the moon can keep him in the dark for long. Even if she joined you unconsciously, I doubt Jack would be happy about it." I say. "She died only a couple years after, so I wouldn't know. Maybe she used her spirit to contact bunny." I say.
He shrugged. "Either way, you can't tell him about anything. I shall be in touch, once I know Mandrakes plan, I will tell you."
I sighed. "One more thing, I know I shouldn't be asking you this but... What should I make Jacks ring out of?" I asked.
Pitch lifted a brow. "Ring?"
I nodded. "Our engagement ring." I say.
Pitch shrugged. "How the hell am I supposed to know?" Pitch asked.
"Well, I just thought you'd have some ideas, excuse me princess." I say.
He sighed, rolling his eyes. "If you really want an idea, I would say to use your power and create your own personal ring. Or use metal and your power to create something." He said. "Now I'm gonna go." He said.
I smiled. "Okay, and Pitch!" I shouted after him. He paused turning around. "Thanks," I say.
He rolled his eyes and disappeared. Well, now that I know Emma is awake, how the fuck am I gonna focus on anything?
