"What are you talking about ?" Caio frowned looking at Diego, I was wondering the same thing.
"Pharell Williams, that rings a bell ?" Diego looked at Caio who's eyes now widened, I was still confused.
"What about Pharell Williams ?" I asked Diego.
"What not about him, tell him Caio." Diego looked at Caio and I was kinda getting impatient now that I didn't know anything and they both knew.
I looked at Jess and she looked down, she knew too?
"Listen Mik before you get mad-"
"He denied a one million dollar record label contract from a record label in Los Angeles and kept the bonuses they sent in advance to convince you to sign with them," Diego said and my head immediately snapped at Caio.
"What ?" My voice cracked and he looked down, I was seeing anger but also hurt.
"Mik it's not what it looks like." Caio shook his head.
"How much ?" I looked at Diego and he looked away pursing his lips like he didn't want to tell me about how much money we were talking about.
"Diego !" I yelled, my jaw clenched just like my fists.
"60K." He said.
"Mik-" My fist flew across Caio his face as he tried to speak to me.
"Shut the fuck up! You stole from me !" I snapped grabbing him by his shirt, Jess gasped while Diego tried to pull me away.
"Come on man." Diego pulled me away while Jess went to check on Caio.
"If u choose his side you can stay with him." I barked at Jess who jumped from the anger in my voice.
"Aw now she can stay there, you going to tell him, or should I do it ?" Diego looked at Jess who looked shocked and unsure about what he was talking about.
"Tell me right now before I lose my mind even more than before." I picked at my hair.
"Tell him." Diego looked at Jess.
"Diego fucking tell me if you know something !" I barked at him and he held his hands up.
"The journalist that wrote the article about you and Diamond got paid by Jess and Caio to lie about Diamond being the inside person," Diego explained and my heart sunk, this whole month I wasn't able to get Diamond out my head and I used Jess as a distraction to stop thinking about her.
I yelled at her, I got angry at her and I fired her. Without listening to her I acted on my anger not knowing the real snakes were already in front of me.
"He's lying." Jess tried to get closer to me but I held my hand up, she stopped in her tracks.
"The journalist showed the transitions of the big amounts of money, the transitions were on Caio's name," Diego said.
I ran my hand through my hair slightly tugging at it, I grew up with Caio. Does he do me like this?
"Is this shit true ?" I looked at Caio who had a busted lip, he looked up at me before looking back down.
"Fuck man !" I shouted punching the wall.
"I would've fucking taken a bullet for you and you do me like this ?" I looked at Caio, the hurt in my eyes was showing. Just like that, a friendship that lasted for years is gone.
"And you, how dare you to make me feel guilty about the fact that I'm incapable of giving you our real relationship but in the meantime, you being a sneaky bitch behind my back." I looked at Jess who was now crying, a whole act.
