I was at home, staring at a beautiful ring. The ring I'm meaning to propose to my girlfriend with. 'She was almost home' I thought to myself when I looked over at the clock on my side table. She was going to be here any minute and my heart started to beat really fast. I looked out of my bedroom door and noticed that the house looked a bit disheveled so I got up and started to clean. While I was sweeping in the living room I decided to turn on the T.V. to have some background noise. A news reporter began to explain a very horrid car accident that happened only a few minutes ago. I sat on the couch, broom still in hand. Instead of beating in love, my heart broke into a billion pieces when I noticed the car, it was her car. I fell to the ground with tears filling my eyes, and clouding my senses. I briskly turnt my head and looked back at the couch where I was once sitting. She was here, she was actually here. Her beautiful ebony face still with the same softness as before, I began to hug her and when I looked into her eyes that shone like topaz, they were empty, they have never been like this before. Soon her voice took all of my euphoria and crushed it. She spoke in whispers, the only time her voice raised an octave was when she was happy and excited, but this was nothing of the sort. "If I were alive, I'd say yes a million times, no doubt" She stared at the ring in my pocket then disappeared. At that moment I lost my entire world, my everything. And my world was named Liv Kiss, or would've been Liv Kiss-Brookes, since I know she always told me she would never give up her last name. She joked and said it was her only excuse to randomly kiss me- I just wish I could've gotten one last kiss.
