POV One Shot: Temp at the BAU

Temp Job

*BRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIING BRRRRRRRRRRRRING*

I woke up to the jarring sound of my phone ringing and looked at the clock

 [10:30] it read, I groaned and fell back on my bed and answered the phone 

"Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?"

"Huh, and here I thought you'd be excited to talk to your best friend."

I looked at the caller ID and saw that it was Penelope 

"Penelope? You're not my best friend."

"In my eyes, I am."

I cracked a smile and asked 

"So is there a reason you're gracing me with your voice today?"

She chuckled and said 

"I'm actually heading to a new job and I need someone trustworthy to fill in for me."

I quickly sat up right and my heart beat a bit faster

"Wait, you're LEAVING? I heard you gush on and on about that place- hell, I've heard how

that place has closed cases in record time, why in the hell would you leave?"

"I do love the BAU, but seeing all of that darkness is really starting to mess with my good vibrations"

"*sigh* Yeah, I understand Penelope, I am surprised that you held on for this long though"

"So am I, I thought for *sure* I'd be done after the first dismembering

"..." [I didn't know how to respond to that] 

"So what time am I starting this new and exciting opportunity?- and careful, if you say anything earlier than 10:30am I will back out"

"It's actually at exactly 10:29 sooo"

"Ha ha" I laughed sarcastically 

"This amazing job will be starting at 11:30 in fact, but I do need some help moving some of my stuff out of my office if you're not busy."

"Nah, I'm not busy. But where's-"

"You insult me friend, just sent it to you. I'll be waiting at the door"

*hangs up*

I finally get off my bed and find something in my fridge to eat so I don't pass out in the shower that I'm going to have to rush through

I found a pack of bagels and cream cheese 

I put a bagel in the toaster and ran to take a quick shower 

By the time I came out of the shower, my bagel had been sitting in the toaster for a few minutes, I didn't want to eat a cold bagel, so in my towel I took the bagel out of the toaster VERY carefully and kept my hair out of the way because it was still a bit wet. After executing that procedure successfully, I spread the cream cheese over both sides and took one bite out of it, then ran to my room and found something to wear and I headed out and I took the rest of my bagel with me.

*time skip*

I get to the Quantico building and I see Penelope standing at the front door, she opens it and lets me in and completely encapsulate me in possibly the tightest hug I've ever gotten 

Choking on her grip I gasped "Penelope, air is a need."

"Oops, sorry."

She scanned me up and down and sighed happily
