Allister POV THIRD PERSON:

"I don't want to say goodbye." She whispered in her sleep.

It's alright, we'll be back.

"You won't be. Don't lie."

It's okay Allister. We'll be back soon.

"Stop lying." Allister choked out.

Don't worry Allister, we'll always come back.

The whisps left of her parents in Allister's mind faded, only to come back with tons of other people carrying alcohol.

(Where's Landon where's Landon where's Landon he's supposed to be here where's Landon)

He was with them. He was with them laughing and drinking. He was betraying her. He said he was at university.

He was betraying her.

A warmth at her side indicated she wasn't alone. She snapped her head around, thinking it was Landon, and she had imagined him drinking.

The tall figure's face was obscured, but she saw the broad shoulders that came to the top of her head and the soft blonde hair.

Allister turned and hugged Landon. This was Landon. Landon never betrayed her, he didn't drink. This was how that memory went, when she was 14. This was correct.

But Landon didn't hug her back immediately. He slowly, hesitantly, brought his arms around her and patted her head.

Landon didn't pat her head. Landon had drawn her in close and hugged her tightly, allowing her to cry. This wasn't Landon.

Allister drew away from him in surprise, her own fear of who it was and the sadness that Landon was over with their parents drinking caused tears to well in her eyes, but she wiped them away immediately.

Looking at the obscured face, the fluffy blonde hair that fell over it, the broad shoulders, she felt sure she'd imagined it. But it didn't feel right.

A pain of shock ran through her. She blinked at the face and she woke up. There she was, standing at the edge of the kitchen, and there was the tall figure with the blonde fluffy hair and broad shoulders. There he was.

And it was Tommy. He looked at her in groggy confusion. Tears welled in her eyes and she knew Landon had been drinking. But she also felt glad because that meant he had only done it a few times. Landon was at university.

The took two shaky steps towards Tommy, before caving and stumbling into him, crying silently. This time he didn't hesitate. He pulled her in close and held her, rubbing his hands over her back comfortingly.

"I'm sorry." She whispered.

"It's okay." But this didn't feel like Landon to Allister.

Allister was 16 now. She'd given up on parental figures. This didn't feel like a brother, either. This felt like a friend. A good friend, being there for you.

"You know, if I had it my way, I'd be sleeping on concrete right now. But unfortunately it's too cold." Allister whispered humorously.

"You're funny." Tommy said.

"I know." And then Allister fell asleep.

—Tommy POV THIRD PERSON:—

Allister's body became heavier against him. He panicked slightly as her arms loosened around his chest.

What do I do what do I do what do I do—

He couldn't carry her, he wasn't strong enough. That being said she was probably strong enough to carry him. He looked back to Florence and Wilbur, slumped again each other, and to Toby, who was sleeping peacefully.

"Well shit." He whispered. He glanced over to where the oven was, trying to read the time. 5:56 am it read.

He thought he recalled Allister saying Landon gets back from university around 6, so his main thought of action was to just hold her until he got back, and then he could carry her up to her room.

The minutes passed by and he wasn't back.

More time passed by and he didn't show.

Tommy, getting tired, reached his hand into Allister's jean pocket and grabbed her phone, using Siri to call him.

It rung a few times before it picked up.

"Hi, this is Tommy. I'm calling to ask where you are? I need someone to carry Allister up the stairs for me because I'm not strong enough."

"He-hello? I'm sorryI'll be back-soon." The words were slurred.

"Are you drunk? Florence said you were at university!" Tommy whispered angrily.

"It was a university party." Landon reasoned.

"Isn't drinking like a major problem in your family, and Allister's only done it once because she thought it was funny? I feel like you should think more on that. Be a good brother, call a cab and get home." Tommy sighed.

"Listen I've never met you and you're prying on family business? What are you doing here!?"

"Your sister was just standing in your kitchen whispering 'that's not him' and 'he didn't betray me' and when she turned around it appeared she was asleep. She hugged me and cried and said 'see it wasn't Landon he's not drinking this is Landon'. I think you should get home." He told Landon angrily before hanging up with phone.

Allister made a small noise and she tightened her hold on him. A red tint lit his face for a bit.

Suddenly he wasn't tired. He could hold Allister for forever.

"I don't want to say goodbye." He whispered into her hair.
