Guys I know I've been gone for a while (I was working on bonus chapters for Amore Mio - one is still left to write for Friday 🥲) but this chapter makes up for it, I promise!

Izzy and Roman may or may not have a little fight 🥺 and you get to see more of Roman's relationship with his brothers, which I love ❤️

The last scene of this chapter is my favourite 🥲🧁 You'll love it!

Enjoy! Don't forget to comment along the way to let me know what you think 🥹❤️

"Has anyone ever told you how freaking good your ass looks in those leggings?"

"Has anyone ever told you how freaking good your ass looks in those leggings?"

The sound of his thick Spanish accent caused me to spin around. I immediately noticed the smirk playing on his lips as he stood behind me in the empty gym.

"Mhm, I wore these exact ones for my booty call last night - he loved them." Roman's eyes darkened considerably at this. "A booty call, huh? Why didn't you invite me?"

"It was private. Just me and Mr Snuggles." The moment I admitted it was Mr Snuggles, he cracked a grin, shaking his head. "That bear is one lucky mother-stuffer."

Despite how bad that joke was I couldn't help but laugh. When my laughter died down, I found him staring at me with an indescribable look in his eye. He had a soft smile on his lips, almost as if he was deep in thought.

"What?" His eyes still didn't leave my face and I felt my smile falter. Butterflies filled my tummy as he reached out, tucking some loose hair behind my ear. "Nothing."

Suddenly, I was only aware of was how close he was to me, of how his fingers brushed against my cheek and the way his eyes were locked on my own.

A thick tension formed around us and I could only hear my own pounding heartbeat.

Roman took another step towards me to close the gap between us. I found myself rooted to my spot.

"Roman..." My voice came out barely above a whisper to encourage what was about to happen between us. But it seemed like that was all he needed to snap out of whatever was going on. His movements froze before he eventually stepped away from me, clearing his throat.

The disappointment that filled me when he stepped away only confirmed to me how fast I was falling for him. At this point I couldn't even deny it.

I already knew I was. I knew from the day he smirked at me in the parking lot that I signed my death sentence. I guess I truly meant it, because I was falling for a man who would never feel the same way for me.

It would only end in heartbreak. I knew that.

"So..." Yes it was that awkward all of a sudden. That's all I could come up with.

"So, you're the boss here, Izzy. Tell me what to do."

I looked around the empty gym, suddenly glad that we decided to do this late in the evening so that we'd have the place to ourselves.
