MARINA
"Okay, and... done," mahinahong saad ng doktor matapos ilagay ang benda sa paligid ng tuhod ni Aki. "Actually, you can go home now. The injury is not that severe, and I only have to prescribe you a few medicines and a mild painkiller, just in case it hurts when you get home."
Aki and I both nod. I follow the doctor's lead outside the room. He gave me the prescription paper and I flew back into the chamber where Aki is lying.
I shut the door and stare at him blankly. "What do you think did you just do?"
"Uhm, a plan to get us inside this room where we are right now?" he asks back, pure sarcasm in his voice.
Hindi ko mapigilang mapaismid. "Stop fucking with me." I walk towards him and throw the paper on his face. May bahid ng iodine ang kaliwang parte ng noo niya dahil nagalusan ito dahil sa ginawa niya. "You can't just go around and hurt yourself whenever you want to get something," naiiritang saad ko saka naupo sa kama.
He glances at me with a light smile. "It's just a scratch-"
"Well, yeah, it might be just a scratch. But the worry you caused me a while ago wasn't just a scratch. It was real, Aki. Seeing you flew towards the light post, the fright I had wasn't just a scratch."
Guiltiness surrounds his face. "Oh, I'm, I'm sorry if you felt that way." he lowers his head.
"Don't bother thinking about it. Just don't, don't do that again."
He chuckles a bit that made my eyebrows frown. "What's humorous, young man?"
He shakes his head. "I just realized that we are both troublemakers. You never listen to me, and a while ago, I didn't listen to you, too."
I roll my eyes at him before a memory pops in my head. "Speaking of which, how did you know where I was?" confusion is evident on his face, so I paraphrase my question. "That I was in the principal's house?"
"Oh... that. I followed the car where I saw you jumped."
"You saw me jump?" hindi makapaniwalang tanong ko
"I did. I was near the guard's house. But I can't just go there and pull you out of the car because the CCTV in that area will catch me."
"You should've used the fire exit. There are no cameras in that part of the university."
