October 8th, 9pm. The phone rang. "Hello, who's calling?" Jennifer asked once she picked up the phone. "It's your sister, Lisa, Jennifer Can you do me a favor?" Lisa answered. "Sure, what's your favor?" Jennifer asked.

"I need you to go in my room and check if my library card is in there, I forgot it. There's this horror book about killer clowns, I might do my book report on it." Lisa answered. "Sure, but I thought librarians didn't need library cards."

Jennifer said as she started walking to the kitchen. "Well- Turns out, my boss doesn't accept it. for business reasons? I really don't know, but what I do know is that I got accepted to a new job and I'll finally leave this dumb job." Lisa replied. "Congrats, I'm proud of you.

Hopefully it'll pay off the rent due last month since you decided to spend your last pay check on lottery tickets and vape pens." Jennifer congratulated Lisa as she leaned on the counter. "Well how else am I suppose to relief myself from stress and anxiety? Plus you may never know, we might get lucky and be rich someday." Lisa said.

"That is true but in times like this we can't afford being on the verge of homelessness, our parents are dead and we need to pay for our little sister's needs." Jennifer said.

"Listen, I'll do my very best, for now I'll work as much as I can- Oh sorry- Jennifer I gotta go, I have a customer waiting for me, If you need me, remember I'm right by the street. Love you." Lisa hung up. "Love you too." Jennifer hung up.

Jennifer heard noises coming from her little sister's room. Creak. Creak. Is all she heard from the room. "Rose? Rose, I told you to sleep, it's your bedtime!" Jennifer mildly yelled. Jennifer goes to the living room and grabs her laptop to study for her math test she has tomorrow, but soon to be interrupted by a phone call.

Ring. Ring.

The phone rang. Jennifer goes back to the kitchen counter where she left her phone, she sees who's calling. It showed to be from an unknown caller, Jennifer wanted to hang up but her curiosity got the best of her and answered it.

"Hello? Who's this?" Jennifer asked the unknown caller. "Hey, looks like I got the wrong number." The unknown caller answered. "Oh- it's ok, happens to the best of us." Jennifer hung up.

The phone rang again. Jennifer answered again, "Hello? Are you the same guy from before?" The unknown caller stayed silent. "Hello? Is this some sort of joke?" Jennifer asked irritatingly. The silence still went on until a mumbling voice came on.

"Hello? Are you ok? Do you need any assistance?" Jennifer kept asking but in a worried manner. Her heart slowly started to race at a fast pace. "Listen, I don't have time for this." Jennifer hung up nervously. Jennifer still felt anxious from that call. She decided to calm down by grabbing some potato chips from the kitchen drawer.

Ring. Ring.

The phone rang. Jennifer put down the chips.

Jennifer decided to answer again, "hello?" Jennifer got swallowed by silence again until the unknown caller finally responded with, "Hey, sorry for calling so much, I just wanted to tell you something-" "It's alright, so what did you want to tell me?" Jennifer asked.

Silence swallowed Jennifer again, until she heard screams coming from the phone. Loud, intense screaming, felt like the person was being tortured. Loud noises like there was a fight, until eventually ending with a huge loud thud. All Jennifer could do was hear this with a scared face. "Are you ok?" Jennifer asked nervously.

"Hey, wanna play a game?"
The unknown caller asked in a menacing tone. "I don't think so." Jennifer hung up immediately with no hesitation. Jennifer called her sister to tell her what happened. She answered.
