A/N:hey lovely readers ....I really struggle with coming up with a good opening scene. I know that getting an audience's interest is pretty important, because I think those first few paragraphs for a lot of people determine whether or not they want to keep reading.I have been just starting a little ways into the story and writing from there and hoping that I will come up with the perfect opening eventually, but so far I've had no luck with it. Every time I try to write it it just feels like it's long and slow and by the time things get interesting people will have stopped reading. And yet I don't want to start with the 'big punch' kind of opening because I think the impact should come when the character realizes it, a little further into the story...

I think I'm probably rambling here so I'll stop now, but how do you find your perfect intro?
