Chapter 8 (Cafe)

(2023/2024 update) I have no idea where and how this story is going. So, I'm going to freestyle this so let's go.

Late Christmas special 

"H...Hello"

With a smile on her face, Mrs. Jeon was happy with the other responding to her phone call. "Is this......? Mrs. Jeon asked while biting her nails anxiously. 

"Would we be able to meet up tomorrow morning, i'll like to talk about Jungkook and his state of mind over the past years. I'm quite worried actually and to be fair you're the closest person i know to his ex", Mrs. Jeon says while sighing as she further explains the situation, she nods at the response that was given to her. She grabs a piece of paper and pen and writes the details that are given to her for tomorrow. After a few minutes of catching up with the significant other, she hung up the phone, grabbed herself a glass of red wine from the fridge, and plopped herself on the sofa. 

(Mrs Jeon and Namjoon part only in this chapter)

Nobody's POV

Next Morning: 

While everyone in his family where still asleep, he dressed himself, grabbed his coat, bag, and keys, and left the house. While traveling to his destination he had a deep thought about what Mrs.Jeon could say to him. They did have a long conversation that did trouble him about Jungkook, although he and Jungkook haven't had a one-to-one conversation for the longest years cause of his brother he does feel responsible for resolving the issue. He did remember the past years when they were still in primary school up to secondary school when they'd meet each other up on the street to walk to school or during the summer holidays or any holidays the 8 of them would plan an outing where everyone can enjoy themselves. While in his thoughts, he got to the location where he asked Mrs Jeon to meet up. He opened the cafe door and saw Mrs Jeon in deep thought which honestly did trouble him as he thought of her as his second parent. (p.s his parents are still alive)

"Sorry for the wait Mrs Jeon", the tall male said while smiling nervously at the older woman. Mrs Jeon snapped back into reality after seeing the tall male and she smiled as her eyes started to shimmer. The woman was in distress and the younger male could see it. She responded to him by saying "Namjoon, it's fine it wasn't long since I sat down, please take a seat". Namjoon bowed and sat himself down opposite the older woman. "Would you like anything to drink while we are here 'cause we might be here a while?" she asked while observing the menu, Namjoon nodded and they started to order some drinks and food. 

(The food and drink came after a while)

"Anyways how is everything? your family? school? life?" she says while bombarding the poor boy with various questions that make him giggle a little because she has always been an observant parent even though they're not blood-related in any way. "They're all fine Mrs Jeon", Namjoon responded while smiling. "Oh ok, that's good, umm how's Taehyung, i haven't heard of your brother for a year or two now, when everyone was so close it's been a while", Mrs Jeon ranted on while taking a sip of her hot coffee and looking at younger dead in the eye. Namjoon noticed the dead stare in the woman's eyes he couldn't take it and he sipped his smoothie while continuously finding places to direct his eyes. "Well umm, he's, he's..........ahh.........umm i- he's-" As Namjoon is stuttering, Mrs. Jeon starts bawling her eyes out, she couldn't control it, it was just a spurge of the moment for the poor woman. As Namjoon was finding his words he heard sobbing and looked to see Jungkook's mum tearing up, he started panicking and asked the waitress for some tissues. Seconds later the waitress came with tissues in her hand and gave it to the older lady. "I'm sorry, I'm causing such a ridiculous scene in public, i know you're young yourself it's just I don't know what to do about Jungkook he's my only son he's getting worse, he truly misses him and it's breaking my heart that an unforgivable mistake on your brother's end has disturbed these two happiness Namjoon". Mrs Jeon stated while using the tissue to wipe away her tears. Namjoon looked a bit confused about what the older woman meant but he continued to listen to her talking. Don't get the boy wrong, he may live under the same roof as his brother but realistically he doesn't know what happened to Jungkook and Taehyung as nobody told him anything nor does he pry into his brother's business. However, he has noticed some drastic changes in his brother's attitude throughout the 1-2 years both males split up. "I mean I've sent Jungkook to rehab for 2 years (idk how many years i said he went to rehab or if i mentioned that), he's been seen by the upmost top-notch physiatrist, I stopped work for a year because of his declining health which psychologically, mentally and physically drained not just him but myself and my husband". Mrs. Jeon stated while rambling even more, as for Namjoon he was all ears in fact when the next part came his jaw dropped, it was as if the world just came crumbling down for him making it seem he was Jungkook at the moment, and his understanding his younger brothers nonchalant behaviour made him arch his eyebrows in a way he could slap some senses into him. After about 3 hours of Mrs Jeon talking about Jungkook's pain, his loss of his child, and the heartbreak of his now ex both Namjoon and Mrs Jeon were in shambles. They both decided to devise a plan, where Namjoon would talk to Jungkook to deeply apologise on behalf of his brother and demolish his brother's disgusting act of being horrible. No one can predict if the two will be back together one thing is for sure he's going to make sure the both of them discuss their issues of the past and how truly broken Jungkook was and still is. After their plan and their long ass discussion, Mrs Jeon was ransacking her bag to grab her car keys and her wallet to pay for both herself and Namjoons food and drinks. They both stood up and she made sure to hug Namjoon as a big thank you for understanding her son's pain and wanting to help resolve both boys' issues. While hugging him, she slipped £30 into his pocket as a small thank you. On her way out, he bowed and waved her goodbye and saw the woman drive off, while she was gone Namjoon grabbed his phone to call Jungkook's closest friends Jin and Jimin. He may not be close to Jimin but he does sometimes make small talk with Jin. He made his way out of the cafe to the nearest park, to make the phone call for both Jimin and Jin and asked them if they could meet after school hours so that he could speak to them about Jungkook only. 

So it's like 3:49 a.m. while typing this, and I'm tired, happy boxing day, and Happy New Year in advance. I've been re-reading my story 1000+ times and I'm not liking it ngl. I might change some characters up due to this story not making sense. This is on the shorter story..............
