The slightly adjured door should've been some indication for me yet I still chose to step through the unlocked door that I had certainly locked this morning when leaving for work.

The place was almost unrecognizable.

Each pillow of the couch was lifted and thrown away carelessly, the rugs had been lifted and chucked aside, even my book shelve had been emptied and left bare.

Every cupboard was opened and my belongings clearly rifled through.

I stood in the center of the room taking in the carnage. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I'd eventually gathered enough nerves to venture to my bedroom. Just like the rest of the place it had been left turned upside down with every item out of place.

My mind became one big whirl wind as I questioned who could've done such a thing, even more so what their reason was.

Then it hit me like a smack in the face.

Achilles.

I turned on my heels and ran to the bathroom, I scanned the mess before locking my eyes on the untouched bathtub.

I knelt down on towels that had be scattered on the floor beside the tub, then I started pulling at the side panel.

When it moved just far enough I peered behind it and found the leather bag of money and a gun still sat in the same spot.

I huffed and pushed the side panel back into its correct position.

Why would he rampage through my home instead of just waiting for me to give the bag back, its not as though I would deny him of it. I wanted it out my home as soon as possible and I was also pretty sure he'd kill me without even blinking if I refused.

As I stood up a thud could be heard from the living room. I felt my heart accelerate a little more.

I peeked my head out the bathroom checking if I could see the culprit, I hadn't even considered that someone could still be inside when I had stepped through the door.

I was clearly stupidity's greatest form.

"A-Achilles?" I called

A few foot steps could then be heard on the wooden floorboards.

"Achilles... stop messing"

I grew more nervous when the foot steps stopped. The hairs on my body began to rise as a bad feeling began to wash over me.

My voice caught in my throat when I caught a glimpse of a shadow moving at the bottom of the corridor.

Before I had the chance to process what was happening a dark figure turned the corner and began running at me.

I dived back into the bathroom and slammed the door closed. The wooden door was now my only form of protection.

"why are you doing this Achilles?" I shouted through the door

There was no point in staying quiet when he knew I was in here. The only response I was met with was the wooden door being kicked in.

Instinctively I covered my head with my arms to protect myself from the fallen door. Within seconds they were being pulled down and held behind my back with brute strength.

"You're hurting me!" I yelled

I was then pushed forward as the grip on my arms tightened. I was being pushed aggressively through the house and I could tell we were on route to the front door.

"I'm not scared of you Achilles"

I managed to force out the lie.

"No darling but he should be"

My eyes gazed over him and as he stepped into sight from the passageway. He stared past me and at the person that was holding me against my will. I knew his words weren't a threat, they were a promise.

I could feel the anger radiating off him as his dark and cold eyes remained on the person behind me.

"Achilles" I whispered in disbelief

I didn't think that i'd ever be this happy to see him.

His eyes dropped down to mine, his teeth clenched and jaw hardened before he moved his eyes back away.

"I suggest you remove you're hands off her before I remove them from you're body" Promise lined each word he seethed.

I could feel the grip loosen with hesitation before finally leaving all together.

A rush of wind hit me and I was propelled forward clashing against the chest of Achilles.

Bang.

A ringing pierced through my ears.
