A word from the writer
Hi I don't know how to address you reader but I do hope that while reading this book, you'll enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. A thing to note is that I am not a professional writer so please do excuse my plots and so forth. I would advice that you, in the comments, respectfully tell me how I'm doing and let me know what I could do to better my writing.
Amara's POV
Working in a big corporation can be stressing especially if you are the CEO's secretary. It was a normal day at work and I had just come from another long boring meeting when the operator called my name. "Miss Williams you have a meeting with Mr. Reeves at his home in Autumn Acres tomorrow at 10 am" "Thank you". I left for the day and headed home.
As I waked through the front door to my apartment and slammed myself down on the couch rubbing my temple my phone rang. "Hey b you wanna go to Kirk's party tonight?" my best friend since childhood Rhianna asked. "Nah my head is killing me and plus I have to go somewhere early tomorrow morning" "Hmmk but if you change your mind I'll save a drink for you" I rolled my eyes and hung up the phone Riri knows I don't drink so it would be pointless to drag me to a wild party.
Next morning I got up and got ready then drove to Autumn acres. Everyone at the office knows that this place is simply elite and why did Mr. Reeves want to see me up here?
"Ms. Williams welcome Master Reeves will see you in a minute, can I get you anything to drink water, a simple fruit juice, wine, liquor?" "I'll just have some water thank you". Two minutes had passed and my boss walked into the living room.
Mr. Reeves: Amara I am so glad you could make it. Remember when I said I would be retiring and passing the business to my son in a months time I want to host my retirement party with a installation party for my son as the new CEO and I want you to be in charge of planning it, you will have a team to help you come up with ideas for the combined party.
Amara: Ok sir but when am I officially meeting the new CEO?
Mr. Reeves: This Wednesday after our staff meeting. I will give you today off so go enjoy today and get ready for tomorrow's meeting.
Amara: Yes sir.
I got into my car and drove home. What the hell was I to plan and who was the new boss.
