I woke up to the sound of clattering of dishes coming from the kitchen and get up to see what it is, not surprised to see Vi standing there and a pan on the floor. I walk up to her making sure to make my presence known as to not scare her and start to say something when I see Vi's face streaming with tears. Not knowing what to do, I walked her over to the couch and gave her a glass of water.
I drank the water Taavin gave me and control my breathing the best that I could. It's hard to absorb everything that happened in the past 24 hours. I want to know everything from the beginning but I'm afraid that it'll trigger emotions that I've pushed to the back of my mind.
I realize that I should speak up, I understand that Vi was in a state of shock and denial right now, but she has to understand, she's the only one I have left now.
'When I joined this Mafia I didn't know that it was them who killed your parents. As far as we all knew, it had been a random attack on them Bi, there's no way anybody could have known. They helped me in the time of need and they're like a second family to me. There's important information that you're parents withheld from you and if you're willing to discuss it with them, they are willing to tell you everything.'
'Taavin, I'm ready to talk to them, but I want to know every single detail, no half truths and absolutely zero lies. If my parents didn't tell me something I want to know. I don't want to lose you, 20 days from now I'll meet them but it will be on my conditions.'
Of course I agreed to meet them, but I never said it'd be peacefully.
