Chapter 10: At the Capital City (1)

Empress Helena went back to the Capital City of Roan Kingdom and met with Crown Prince Alberu.

"How was your stay at the Henituse Duchy?" Crown Prince Alberu asked her while she enjoyed her cup of tea at the other side of the coffee table in the middle of their seat.

"It's fun, though, I don't know where Sir Cale went and missed the chance to sightsee in the black castle," Empress Helena was more relaxed and a bit laid back than her previous stiff exterior the first time she went in the Capital City.

"That's good because you need to attend the tea gatherings this weekend from seven most prominent nobles in the Raon Kingdom."

"Can I say no?"

"You can't."

"Tch!"

Crown Prince Alberu looked at the Empress with an amused look on his face. He didn't know that the Empress have this kind of side as well. Empress Helena from the first he met her was stiff, guarded, and doesn't let anyone bother her. But after she visited the Henituse Duchy and met Cale Henituse, she came back with her laid-back and carefree self.

While he was thinking about that, Empress Helena suddenly met his eyes and arched a brow at him.

"If you're thinking of such ridiculous things, then don't bother. I won't be showing such a side to outsiders," Empress Helena told him and focused on her own teacup.

Outside the Palace, the nobles and the citizens of the Capital of the Roan Kingdom were looking forward to seeing the Foreign Ice Empress from the North. There are already different kinds of rumors that were running on the streets of the Capital.

"I heard that Foreign Empress was a beauty like an ice-fairy of the North!"

"I heard the ice magic she possesses could cause frost-bites on the skin!"

"The Empress of the North was said to be an untouchable fairy!"

Amidst the compliments and rumors, there's also some about the nasty rumors about the Empress, that were circulating on the noble circle.

"That Empress from the North was just here for more power and wealth, hmph!"

"That Empress was probably here to just tie our Young Hero towards the North to dominate the rest of the continent!"

"That Empress must be up to no good, we must be vigilant towards her!"

"That Empress must be rejected by Young Master Cale that is why she was back to see another potential spouse in our Roan Kingdom,"

When the Empress who was leisurely lounging in her bedroom, heard of those slandering rumors, She was not bothered by any of it except that one slander where she was rejected by Young Master Cale.

"Who was that lousy girl who gossiped about me being rejected by Young Master Cale? How dare she!" Empress Helena sat up and glared at the maidservant who was relaying the rumors to her. The maidservant flinched and cowered away from her anger. Everyone from the servants of the castles knew that the power of the Foreign Empress will freeze them to death in an instant that's why as much as possible they avoid triggering her bad side. It seems that she was unlucky today.

"T-That, I-Its the Daughter of Marquis Leon," The maidservant hurriedly said and bow down to avoid the Empress' furious gaze. Empress Helena huffed angrily before she stood up from her bed and went to the table where the letters for the tea parties were placed and searched for the Marquis invitation... she found none.

"Wow, this girl, dared to badmouth me but didn't even send a letter to invite me to her tea party, seriously... irks me to death,"- Empress Helena frowned and looked at the pile of invitations on the table.

"Quickly give me a pen and paper, Send this to your Crown Prince and directly tell him that I will let him watch a show,"- Empress Helena said in a serious manner as she wrote on the paper handed to her by the maidservant and went back to read the invitations that were on her table. 

"Just because I'm an outsider, it doesn't mean you can't show common courtesy to a Royalty!"  Empress Helena's blood was boiling. She had never experienced such discrimination- and behind her back that is!

She beckoned to her maid in waiting, and telling her to prepare, 

"A women's battle is hard work, but no worries, I will greet them head-on and rip their faces off!" Empress Helena sneered. 

Crown Prince Alberu have the letter in his hands and was feeling both fear and excitement at the same time. Fear that there may be more people who will be going to be injured and excited because he might be there to witness the internal strife of women's schemes!

His Auntie who was together with him, Tasha the Dark Elf, looked at the expression on his face and cannot help but sigh. 

"Nephew, Don't get too excited over such matters, The Empress was still someone of high importance and not your own entertainer, Don't do anything rash,"  Tasha reprimanded the Crown Prince while looking at him with a helpless look. She too got interested in the human girl with an affinity with ice and wanted to see what she was made of. 

"Aunt Tasha, fret not, I will be the eyes and ears for Cale's little fiancee while he was away, besides, they cannot do anything too extreme while in my presence," Crown Prince Alberu said with a cheeky smile.

"Alas, I want to join the fun too, but keeping an eye on your royal family is a bit of a hassle," Tasha said with a sigh as she took her teacup from the table and took a sip. Crown Prince Alberu only smiled before the study room becomes quiet. 

"I heard that the Young Master and the two Dragons were going to the North to investigate, Do you think they will be safe throughout the investigation?" Tasha asked Crown Prince Alberu. 

"That I do not know, The two dragons are significantly powerful after dealing with the White Star, however, against three, phase 2 dragons in the North, I doubt they won't be able to keep half of their lives," Crown Prince Alberu said in a serious tone while looking at the scenery outside the window, 

"Let's not make ourselves worry about them, we cannot even help like this, come now, let's go and take care of your clothes for the upcoming tea parties, you are the Empress's escort right?" Tasha asked with a smile and stood up. 

"That is indeed the truth, Auntie, please help me find some matching new clothes with the Empress of the North,"  Crown Prince Alberu said as he stood up with a smile.
