There's over Seven Billion people living on earth right now, out of those Seven Billion there are the well known type of people or as other people would say the "famous" type of people, but then again there is also the normal type. The type that is born without a talent, and that goes through elementary and middle school, high school, and that grows knowing someday there going to have to work for there money and work to be able to sustain a family. That type of normal, that simple but yet not so simple lifestyle, its my lifestyle.

On the spring break of my senior year I got three letters all from the three university's I applied to, New York University or NYU, University of North Texas or UNT, and University of California or UC. I got accepted into all of them being the geek I've been since kindergarten but the first envelope I opened of course it being my dream school was the University of California. The reason behind why I was looking forward to that one, as in being the one that I got accepted in was because my mom went to that University. My mom passed away six years ago due to lung cancer, when I was only twelve years old. Being the only child was boring as a kid but my mom was like my big sister, she would tell me stories about California and how she studied to be a doctor. Anyways I chose UC and it was now the day before I had to pop on a plane say bye to my dad and head towards my future.

"Ade lets go your going to miss your flight and check in!" my father practically scram from the bottom of the stairs. "I am going dad I just need to get moms journal and put it in my purse" I said, I grabbed my suit case and my purse, and stood outside my room, and whispered "bye mom, see you in California."

When I got into my car my best friend who happens to be my neighbor got out of her house and got in my car, since I had asked her before to go with my dad to drop me off at the airport. When we got there we said our goodbyes and there were tears of course but I knew my mom was coming with me to California, and from the stories she had told me, I was in for a wild four years.

From Texas to Cali in a plane was five hours, then from the airport to the university it was one hour. When I finally got there I went into the main building where it was packed with young adults from all over the world ready to start classes next week and to live independent like a adult for the first time. The place was huge and I could not help to notice all the cute boys, but also all the bitchy mean girls.. This was starting to look a lot like high school and there "cliques". I got in line and waited so I could check in and get my room assigned with my room key. "Name please" a chubby colored men said to me, "um, Adrianna Gomez" I said nervously, which I don’t  know why I was nervous. "Here you go" he said as he handed me my key, "Your room-mate is named Amanda, and your room is in building 5 on the other side of campus good luck", "thanks" and I turned and exited out and started to walk because I didn’t want to wasn’t my money on a cab to take me to the other side of campus. I had gotten here at five and it was seven I was officially lost. The last sign I saw said building four and that was half an hour ago, luckily I saw  two figures that looked a lot like two boys standing a bit further from where I was so I figured why not ask for help.

so i hope you guys enjoyed. this is myfirst story ever uploading again in a few hours. - melissa
