Christmas cheer is in full swing, in a little town called Yellow Rock. Located right on top of a mighty mountain. The community is small but ever-growing with each new generation.
One of the biggest events in town is the Rocky High school's winter dance. Even though the dance is planned for the kid's. Adults love to gather and watch. Unlike a normal winter dance, this one is held outside. In the middle of town square, where there's a huge ice rink built.
Almost everyone is excited, almost everyone but Bryan.
Bryan is sixteen, enjoying his high-school life just like any happy teen. With the winter dance coming up, he's even more pumped to ask his crush Chloe out to the dance. They don't have any classes together and can only see each other during lunchtime.
Nervousness stopped him from approaching her the first part of the week. Now Bryan's starting to feel anxious because the dance is this Friday. If he misses her again, then he will have one day to ask her out.
Hope seems so far away, and he tried not to think about the possibility that she already has a date. Sadly, Cleo had to leave school early today for a dental appointment. Not being able to catch her at lunch set a fire inside him. Bryan's determined to ask her out tomorrow.
Bryan gets home and enjoys his dinner with his family. Excusing himself to go to bed early, he stops in the bathroom. Brushing his teeth before bed, he notices a pimple on his right cheek in the mirror. Despair sets in his stomach while examining the inflamed redness around it. The bitter winter air must have aggravated it.
Defeated, Bryan goes to his room and gazes out his window. Seeing a random star he mutters to it.
“Cleo's not going to want to be seen with me like this.”
Turning away from the window, he goes to lay down. Before he can, a bright light streams into his room. Turning around Bryan is in shock to see a big yellow square, smiling up at him.
“Hello earthling, my name is Big Yellow, and I'm here to save the date.” Big Yellow tells him cheerfully. The bright light guides a pack of Hydro-Blast stars into Bryan's hands.
“Place a Hydro-Blast star on your inflamed pimple, and you will see great results.” Big Yellow promises. Bryan is skeptical but does as Big yellow says. The next day, he awakes to having a clear face. Confident he walks right up to Cleo and ask her to be his date tomorrow night.
To his shock, Cleo has a Hydro-Blast sticker on her cheek. She happily accepts his invitation. They share their Big Yellow stories with each other over lunch.
It turns out everyone needs a little help every now and again. When a pimple comes to ruin the day, a Hydro-Blast can save the date.
