Winney complains as she sat next to Danielle on their couch. Sitting in class next to her bestfriend Winney, they plotted their plans for the next few weeks. They were tired of never having anything to do, and desperately needed something social to attend. "Ugh, I swear if we're stuck in that apartment again." They were roommates, and had been best friends since highschool. "Wait- You know that Josh guy? You know, the really hot one?" Winney asks enthusiastically. Danielle shrugged with a sarcastic smirk, thinking of every guy she knew with the name Josh. "There are a thousand guys named Josh on campus..." Winney stared at her. "Josh, Josh Keys?" She awaited a response. Danielle shook her head no, not knowing who she was referring to. "He's literally sitting over there." She gestures to a man relaxed back into his seat with a hat pulled over his eyes, typing away at his phone. "I bet he knows where everything is tonight, or for fall break. Literally everyone knows him." She exaggerates. "Can't we just stay in tonight? Do homework, maybe?" Danielle states, knowing inwardly that she did want to party this weekend. Winney rolls her eyes. "Oh, come on. You know you want to party with me. Plus this is the perfect excuse to talk to Josh." Winney has had a 'tiny' crush on him since sophomore year started. "I don't know..." Danielle mumbles. "Look, all I'm suggesting is that we find something to do. That's it." She smiles, attempting to persuade Danielle to go along with her. Danielle eventually grins. "Fine."

Winney squeals in excitement. "Yay! I'll go ask him."

Winney gets up from her seat and walks over to Josh. At first he doesn't pay her any mind until he looks up. Danielle watched as Winney flirted with him. He smiled at her and then winked before she walked back to her seat. "Sooo, guess who's going to a party tonight!" She tells Danielle. "It's at his Uncles lodge. Isn't that cool? He gave me his number too."An excited smile was plastered on her face. "I'm happy for you, Winney." Danielle told her genuinely. She had her suspicions when it came to Josh, but she didn't tell Winney.

Later that evening, they were in their shared apartment. Winney goes to her room and then comes back with a skimpy black satin dress. It is currently the end of November. It was brisk, and chilly. The snow hadn't started yet but Danielle knew that It was going too soon. "You know it's like... 40 degrees outside right?" Danielle told her in confusion. Winney laughs. "Yeah, but I'll be too hot to feel cold." Danielle rolled her eyes playfully, laughing along. Winney squeals in excitement. "Josh is literally so fine, and the fact that he invited me personally means he definitely wants me." Danielle nodded her head in agreement. "Do you know anyone else who's going?" Danielle asked her in curiosity, wrapping her red fluffy blanket around herself. "No. But imagine if me and him went out together. Like wouldn't we be so cute!" She smiles. "I have no idea what he looks like but, you'd look cute with anyone. Except for maybe that one guy from 10th grade who you dated." Danielle laughed as Winney playfully gagged in response.

Later, as they drove to the party, blasting music along the way, they arrived at Redwood Lodge. They hear loud music and chatter coming from inside of the lodge. "Oooh this literally looks so nice." Winney states excitedly. "I know right." Danielle agrees, feeling slightly nervous. They walk inside. There was a tall ceiling, wood floors and walls, warm lighting and it smelled like alcohol and pizza. It appeared cozy and welcoming. "Hey, The party is in the backyard, but feel free to go in the kitchen." An older man tells them as they walk towards the backyard. "Ok, thank you." Danielle tells him in response. They entered the kitchen which had those stereotypical red solo cups and half empty pizza boxes scattered around. There was soda... and then some punch- which Danielle assumed was some alcohol mixture. The backyard was full of people, and she and Winney were the only ones in the kitchen.  "Oooh, punch!" Winney exclaims as she grabs a cup and pours herself some of the red tinted punch. Danielle watches as Winney frowns from the bitterness of the alcoholic taste. "It tastes like vodka and kool aid." Winney says as she finishes her drink. Looking out the open patio door, Danielle sees a guy, approaching a woman with blonde hair and wearing a pink outfit. She could tell that he was trying to flirt with her. "What are you staring at?" Winney asks Danielle. She shrugs. "I don't know, just looking outside." She responded. Winney turns to look in the direction that Danielle was staring in.
